COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Leidsch Blond is a fresh fruity topfermented beer. Brewed with the best ingredients: barley, caramalts, wheat, munich, Hallertau and Saaz-hop. The label shows a painting by Jan Steen who lived in Leiden (1626-1679) and who’s of course a world famous painter. Less known are his activities as a brewer like his father was.

Bottle from altonbrownd! Semi-cloudy amber. Creamy dense white head actually looks like whipped cream topping. Carbonation is barely visible in the tall glass. How can one put a number on the appearance of a"Belgian Ale" since they seem to have quite a range. I long to quote the Lebowski.... "so you have no frame of referance! You are like a child who wanders in in th middle of a conversation! Shut the Fu@k up Donny!!" Whew.. I digress.... Body is quite light and ephemeral in duration. Droopy lacing sticks to one half of glass and is totally erased on quaff side.. Alight tingle of hops appears and fades just as quickly. Peary esters in wings of mouthfeel. Not much of a nose....hints of spice. Donny.....who loved bowling.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a big white head and a sweet, grainy smell. The initial taste is pretty sweet, malty, almost like there is honey in the beer. But after that a nice hoppy finish comes in that makes this beer a pretty good blonde.

Bottle in Leiden. Aroma of grain and sweet malts. Dark golden colour, stable white head. The flavour starts off a bit watery with some fresh white bread. Finishes with a hint of bitter hops and a rubbery feel. Not bad, though. High carbonation and swelling mouthfeel.

Bottled. A light golden coloured beer which pours with hardly any head. The aroma is a little lemony and yeasty, but quite thin. The taste is nicely hoppy and sharp, and the finish is long and dry.

Bottle. Very flat, yeasty and kind of stale. Stale malt character, with touches of citric yeastyness in the finish, i think Leffe Blond is better than this.

Clear orange-gold; fine white head. Sweet, liqueurish , faint fruity, pineapple pie. Dull-sweet taste, like a tin can of pineapple slices that has been forgotten - for a decennium or so. Gets very cloying. Some caramel. Cloying, but not really well bodied. Very disappointing, home-brew like. De Proef ???

White head, yellow body. Nose of hops (grain) and weak malts. Lightly bitter flavour. Short finish. Very lightly bodied. Very weak. Not particurarly bad, rather flavourless.

Long lasting head, wonderful appearance, but a little bit more expected from the flavor. Nice spicy taste though. Excellent beer.
