Poured dark black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roast malt. Body is a bit weak, and the flavour isn’t quite as well developed as the aroma would suggest. Dry, bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from ABC Beers, den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany colour with a frothy tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is earty, dry and a little smoky. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with some big liqourice, roasted malt and dark chocolate. That bitterness really does hit the palate and stays there a while. The finish however is somewhat smooth and the malty chocolate aftertaste is quite divine! Quite a special beer from such a small brewer.

Jet black with dark cream head. Aroma has light caramel and roasted malts. Feels quite thick and silky. Strong roasted bitter flavour with some light smoke and bitter cocoa.

Almost pitch black, opague colour with a big off-white head. Smells grassy, coffee, roasty and sharp. Tastes roastym sparkling water and coffee. Too much carbo for me, watery, thin body.

Bottle@Home. Laurel and chocolate aroma, nice. Gusher, murky brown, brown head, good lace. Sweetish, roasted, bitter, dry, laurel. Aroma was very nice but both flavour and mouth feel quite amateurish.

Quite a gusher. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of liquorice, malts, dark fruits, some sour notes, chocolate. Flavour rather sweet, roasted malt bitterness, liquorice, bit alcoholic. Lots of carbondioxide, texture bit thin.
