Yeasty weiss beer - sparkling and fresh. The subtle fruity note makes for an aromatic wheat beer experience. Be sure to shake the bottle to dissolve the valuable yeast from the bottom of the bottle and pour to the glass. Brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law.
Ingredients: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops, yeast.

Not sure why the low rating. This was good Wheat beer! It is now my wife’s favorite! Pours a cloudy dark straw color. Aroma was faint. Nice white head that lasted. Taste was mild and was most refreshing. Pleasant after taste. Can’t wait to drink this on draft in Germany!

Bottle poured a milky orange hue w/ a big fizzy white head diminishing to a ring w/ light lacing. Moderate fruity aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light sour finish. Tastes are apple cider, banana, lemon, and pear. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel, and average carbonation.

This is a nice looking brew at least, cloudy orange color and a huge, rocky head of fine bubbles. It doesn’t really taste or smell that great though. Mild and vaguely yeasty w/ muted cloves and banana. Has a sort of strange butterscotch note too that pokes it’s head out in the finish. It is a bit undercarbonated for the style too which makes it come off as a bit sweet and heavy. Really not the best example of the style.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Draught @ La bona pinta, Barcelona. Quite dark colour for hefeweizen. Grainy malty aroma and taste. A tad of smokiness as well. Personal and not the typical refreshing summer hefe.

From 500ml bottle. Clean, honey gold with creamy white head. Very sweet smelling. Honey, breakfast cereal and white peaches. Taste is honey drizzled over apricots, both tart and sweet. Creamy mouthfeel that ends dry. Lingering sweetness. Surprisingly complex.

Bottle: Hazy dark yellow, light orange color, white stiff head. Aroma of wheat and cloves. Flavor with wheat, yeast, shy fruitiness, spices. All in all few complex and boring.

W miare dobra niemiecka pszenica. Z tresciwoscia i sytoscia jest srednio. Moze mniej w kolorze odcieni pomaranczy, a wiecej zoltych, ale sytosc zadowala. Piana klasyczna i puszysta w tym stylu. Sporo estrow bananowych wyczulem. Pijalne piwo.

500ml flip-top bottle bought at Lafaco & Co’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during Hong Kong Food Festival 2013.

Cloudy hazy light honey amber colour with lots of dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive three and half finger head with lasting crumpety white foam; Very good sticky lacing and fizzy carbonation; Fragment aroma of vanilla, banana mash, tart notes, light bubblegum, strong yeast, light caramel, strong cloves and spices, malt and light grass; Slightly tart and low sweet taste of light malt, with light caramel, vanilla, faint banana, hint of wet cardboard, strong yeast, faint cloves, light lemon and light grass; Close to light body, thin and quite crisp palate; Mouth feel is highly carbonated but rather light in many areas - malt, tartness, esters, spices - except the yeast. Very easy to go down but has that run of the mill feeling. So so… Hoppiness is bare minimum grass and in nose and taste. No bitterness, just wheaty finish; Fairly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comment: This one has very impressive head and froth, but everything else is so industrially average. Light in nose, taste, body and mouth feel. Clean, easy to please for the masses but unexciting to drink. Won’t buy again, but at least it doesn’t offend like the poor Höss Weisser-Hirsch.

50cl fliptop. Abover average, label.conform "fresh and fruity" Weisse with dominant citrus and apricot notes and mercifully little banana and clove. Lightish mf, not cloying. Little green grass hop bite, always appreciated. Good stuff, another rare and tasty exception to the stylistic banana&clove shake.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Jeff! Nebulous, placid yellow, unfiltered with little bits of sediment. Soft, white head with good retention though not as chunky as I’d expect or like. Aroma is light wheat, some mild ripe fruits, banana with a hint of apple and pear, and not much else. A little too mild for the style. Taste consists of salt-water taffy, banana esters, light wheat, mild clove, some back-end yeast, and a faint, residual sugary sweetness. Finish has some buttery popcorn flavor, seems like excess diacetyl, not a good sign. Despite that, not a bad beer, but just okay at best. Many better hefes out there.
