500ml bottle @ the 8th Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Sep 14, courtesy of me, thanks to Beerhunter111 for the trade! Pours hazy gold with a BIG white head. Sweet German Keller with straw and light malt notes. Quaffable.

Shared 500ml flip-top bottle: BBD 3 Oct 14. Cheers mat, drank on 8 Sep 14 at the Shrewsbury bottle exchange. Poured a cloudy off-yellow with a white head. Yeast esters rule the slightly malty nose, lightly baked biscuit and bread notes under the yeastiness. The taste is similar with the yeast again taking centre stage. A mild hop bitterness towards the end, but this is almost semi-sweet in nature. OK rather than marvellous, but refreshing and easy to drink.

GoufCustom (824) - HONG KONG - SEP 3, 2014

500 ml flip-top bottle bought at Biorganic’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during HKTDC Food Expo 2014.

Cloudy hazy dull amber honey colour with thick layer of yeast sediments; Oen and a quarter finger head and crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 90 seconds; Very good sticky lacing and quite fizzy carbonation; Quite fragrant aroma of malt, with barley, light honey, molasses, light bread, yeast and strong strawy grass; Mid to light sweet taste of malt, with light barley grains, molasses notes, light wood, light spices, bread, strong yeast, lemon, bitter hops and strawy grass; Light body, thin but slick palate; Mouth feel is full-on Keller with pretty dull malt taste in thin slick body, slightly grainy, sweetness is fairly low with molasses only in notes. Very strong but rotten yeast overwhelm the light bread and pretty potent lemony hops with slight cardboard. Oh well… Hoppiness is strong strawy grass in nose, lemon and straw in taste. Good light and solid bitterness balance the sweetness quite well for lasting mid to light astringent and malty finish; Quite dry after taste. Very yeasty and bitter-sweet to mouth.

Comments: There’s lots of yeast in this one, which should have been true to the style but unfortunately it tastes really off-putting and almost ruin the overall pictures. Luckily its maltyness stands tall, strawy but solid hops to match and low sweet taste. It would have been a real good Keller, but until then, it barely passes the mark.

Shared a 50cl bottle. Pours a hazy orangish golden colour with a thin white head. Grain, yeast and honey in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is light, but more bitter than sweet. Overall, a nice brew but not remarkable.

Cloudy amber beer, small off white head. Palate is smooth and dry with fine carbonation. Dry smooth malt, hint of grain. Slight hop bitterness. Smooth dry finish. An exceedingly dull Kellerbier!

Swing top bottle at home, 500 ml, I think I got this from McTapps? If so, thanks! Into a Guinness pint, ABV 4.9% Bright golden orange colour on the body, mostly clear, with lazy activity in it. Two fingers of soapy head, off-white with maybe some orange hues. Good retention, light lacing left on the glass. Aroma of malts, sugar or more like honey, a bit of stale bread, some straw, but the end result is appealing. Taste is sweet, sugar and caramel, malts and hay, with a touch of bitterness on the finish. Medium body, low carbonation, slighty dry palate. Nice beer, I liked it quite a bit.
