4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 obguthr (2583) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2012
Cereal grains, unmalted barley, and hay on the nose, ever so slight amount of beans. Hazy amber, thick sticky yellow head. Alfalfa, hay, unmalted barley flavor. Slight smokiness is present. Medium body, weighty for a lager, but nice. Not the least bit astringent. Every now and then, I thirst for a beer like this. It’s raw and unrefined but has all the flavor of the building blocks of beer, no extreme hopping, no excessive acidity. For the style, this is spot on.

Cloudy amber color. The aroma has some unfortunate notes of canned mushroom but it isn’t very noticeable in the taste that is dominated by a slightly peppery, earthy flavor. Quite nice.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (4985) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2011
50cl swing top pours opaque copper with gold edges and thin near white head. The aroma has sort of a soft wheat and yeastiness to it and just subtle banana notes around the edges. The taste is straight up refreshing with wheat notes, a bit of earthy and spicy hops as well as a slight saltiness. To midway it picks up ever so slight sweet banana notes. Into the finish the banana flavor grows a little as pleasing grainy malts join in too. Nice stuff and a great beer to start off the day of drinking and ticking beers.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 heavy (1490) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 27, 2011
17/08 Draught at the BBF 2011. It poured hazy orange body with rich white head. Interesting orange malty, somewhat chalky yeast aroma. Biscuit malt flavor, rounded with yeast notes and completed with distinct fine herbal hops. Medium bodied with longer bittersweet finish that reflects the flavor pretty much. Good enough.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 as (144) - Novi Beograd, SERBIA - AUG 23, 2011
0,5 l bottle at the Three Carrots Pub in Belgrade. Hazy orange color, medium - sized white head. The taste is dominated by a mix of grain, fruit and caramel aromas. The aftertaste is very yeasty, dry, and long - lasting, which all works quite good for this beer. A major flaw is the too thin and watery palate, totally unexpected, I must say. A bit expensive but still very nice.
