Charakterstarke, süffige Landbierspezialität in Exportbierqualität.
Ein echt würziger, frischer Biergenuss!

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Green bean nose, with emphasis on the actual bean, quite shitty. Crystal clear golden, medium white head, good lacing. Grainy then beany, tangy. An awful lot of beans remain on the palate. Bitter grass present in the finish as well. I haven’t had a lot of landbiers, but I don’t like this one much.

The beer pours a perfectly clear golden color with lots of bubbles and a small but well retained head that leaves good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is lots of bread dough, light green apple and earthy hops, all together it’s sort of sweet smelling.

The flavor is bready with some citrusy hops. The beer is lightly bitter and somewhat sweet, the malt is fairly clean and bright. The beer is a tad bit buttery and certainly has some green apple flavor in there. Obviously there are a couple of identifiable flaws here but by the end it seemed hoppier than it was appley or buttery, and I really did enjoy this more than not.

Euro Market, Queens 500ml ($3.49): Pours a golden color with a white head. Grassy, skunky, and almost a sour aroma going on there. Kind of watery at the front, but goes into some nice mild hops coupled with good bready malts. Leaves a little bit of an aftertaste. Pretty good, but nothing special.

ogreface (864) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 11, 2011

50cl swing top pours clear water gold with bright white head. The modest aroma emits some spicy hops, floral hops and a background of vague sweetness. The taste is kind of lagery yeast and sugary sweet malts mixing with modest levels of floral and spicy hops.
