COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional stone beer brewed with super-heated stones.

Corpo medio-leggero, mediamente carbonata. Anche se semplice molto piacevole.

Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish.

Bottle. Orange-amber colored and hazy with a white fine head. The aroma is dominated by caramel and honey, however not especially sweet. Some earthy, grass hops are in the back. The taste as well is sweet as one would expect, but not unpleasantly so. On the contrary the sweetness is well balanced with light bitterness. In the finish some alcoholic warmth comes up. Light bodied with medium carbonation and easy drinking.

0,5 bottle. Amber color. Caramel aroma and mainly caramel flavor. Balanced with hop ,not overwhelmingly sweet. Curious to try another Steinbiers.

Alengrin (3396) - BELGIUM - MAY 23, 2015
One of the last German beers which still make us of the ancient - and dangerous - technique of putting hot rocks in the kettle to make the wort boil. Moussy, regular, stable, light beige head, colour a slightly hazy amberish orange blonde with strong fizz fiercely rising up from the bottom of the glass. Aroma of sweet caramel, dry cookies, old cake, freshly toasted bread, iron but not too disturbing, damp cellar (probably due to storage conditions), herbal hops (tea). Sweetish onset, ’malt fruitiness’, light sourish accent, soft and rounded mouthfeel still with carbonation tingling on the sides of the tongue), smooth and slick malt backbone but a bit metallic as well, caramelly and indeed a bit ’toasted’ like roasted pine nuts, subtle, evolving into a primarily malty finish with persisting toasted bitterishness and balancing, earthy, herbal hop bitterishness; the drying carbonation lingers as well. Straightforward, like most German lagers, but well balanced and pleasantly going down. Interesting but clearly a lager so the classification under ’traditional ale’ here should not be taken litterally...

Beautiful Smoke bier. The Steinbier is an Old Austrian Recepie that Leikeim has recover and they produce is a very tradicional old way. I saw the Factory and the process how they produce.... was a factastic experience

Bottiglia 50cl comprata al supermercato e bevuta a casa. Ambrata con schiuma fine e persistente. Piacevole sorpresa. Piuttosto mielosa, esce dell’affumicato e chiude amara ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Very cloudy orange body and unstable head. Banana, cereal, light spice, not quite as farmy as I hoped. Nice taste, good body. Had quite high hoped for this one actually, but not quite there. (50cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Golden colour with firm white head. Aroma of hebs, fruits. Flavour is nothing special, quickly forgettable.

A very unusual drinking experience, not in a bad way. Dark golden color, hoppy sweet taste. Worth trying.
