Mar 8, 2009 12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark reddish brown color with a massive foamy tan head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of sour malty funk, honey, citrus peel, honey, caramel, toasted sugar, some light spice. Flavor is generally light overall with notes of malt, honey, caramel, hints of chocolate and ripe dark fruit. Generally light to medium body with light malty finish.

Mar 8, 2009 Not bad - attains a craft brew feel. A bit dark and I would expect a slightly cleaner finish from a bock of this strength, but flavor of malt comes though well. Could detect a distint caramel flavor as well.

Mar 8, 2009 Bottle: Poured a brown with a tan color head. The aroma is a mix of malts, caramel, and light fruit. Taste is chocolate with malts. Dry metallic finish.

Mar 8, 2009 Smell is a little sweet. Good looking sparkling rootbeer appearance. Nice rocky tan head. Fairly mild for a bock but it comes across as enjoyable to this lager lover. Palate is somewhat thin and the sparkling carbonation does not carry over from appearence to mouth feel, somewhat flat. Refreshing burned something hiding in the background. Surprizingly, has an american dark lager appeal to it. Fairly well behaved and gentleman like. Finish has a tad of caroub or choco malt in there. Well controlled an mildly pleasant. I think I like these friendly dunkler bocks.

Mar 7, 2009 Nice dark cooper color with a medium sized tan head that left some lacing. Sweet mixture of malts and some hops in the aroma. PhillyBeer2112 hit the taste pretty well, a bready cookie-ish malt flavor and the finish is somewhat metallic and leaves the mouth coated with a not so pleasant feel. Overall a bit watered down.

Mar 7, 2009 Pours a dark copper with a nice head that laces well.. Aroma was a mix of hop and malt, with the initial sniff more hoppy. Good mouth feel with a malty flavor, with very mild hopping. Nice aftertaste.

Poured clear deep brown with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate complex toasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate balanced malty sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Good drinkable brew.

Mar 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium-large off-white head. Aroma is a mix of roast malt and hops. Flavor is mostly roats malt and spice with a little hop to balance out the flavor. My favorite Leinie’s beer so far.
