pours a deep amber-brwon with a thin tan head...very poor retention. aroma is sweet with some brown sugar and a touch of roastiness. very bland taste with just a touch of roasty malt and a horribly watery and chalky mouthfeel.

pours a deep ruby, almost brown, with a slightly fluffy light tan head... Aroma of sweet caramel, raisins, no hops, and nutmeg??? Generic taste, quite bland, no discernable hop or malt profile... Thin mouthfeel with a very carbonated soda like finish...

Pour like in the picture. Had a light caramel and toasted malt aroma with like bitter and chocolate notes. Body was thin with a medium malt character with a medium roasted flavor. Decent but not really traditional bock.

Attractive reddish-brown pour with moderate white head. The nose is caramel malt and some hints of roasted barley malt. The flavor has a fair amount of roasty malt sweetness to it, caramel and bread dough...along with a very faint suggestion of hop bite in the distant background. OK, I guess.

12oz bottle: Pours deep brown with a red hue. Burnt malt and molasses smell. Has an earthy taste with some burnt caramel. Slightly bitter, acidic finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. I had this on draft before and thought better of it then. May need to be re-rated.

Not sure how anybody would comment on aroma as there is none. The appearance is nice and dark though while being rich. Flavor is there, not overpowering and maybe not strong enough although it makes for an easy drinker. Feels average on the palate and overall a good drink. Unfortunately, what you might expect now that Leinie is owned by Miller.

12 oz. bottle. Opened after the Super Bowl, no real reason. Pours dark brown, thin but bubbly head. Smells of a basic macro dark beer, but not bad. Tastes all right. I do get a nice dose of malt with some caramel to it, a tingle of bitterness. I guess I’d say it is a bit hearty, even chewy. Some body to it sets it just above ordinary mass produced lager. Actually got this at Dominick’s, but it’s at Binny’s in this area, too.

Bottle. Dusty malt aroma. Deep reddish brown body, thin head. Flavor is mildly weak, some caramel, some sweetness. Malty finish. Not overly impressive.
