Commercial Description:
The leaves - at the height of their color, but before the inevitable fall. And the apples - ripe for the picking, and the absolute peak of their flavor. It's this moment that you'll find captured in our new Leinenkugel's Apple Spice. We take the fresh, delicious taste of real apples - as crisp as the first bite off the tree - and add just a touch of cinnamon for a hint of spice. The result is a mouthwatering blend that's perfect for sharing with friends. It's flavor to the core. We use over 2000 pounds of apples in every brew.

Draft. Pours a hazy golden color with a fair bit of white head. Aroma is, as expected, apple....apple cider to be more precise. And yes, it tastes very much like apple cider. Crisp and refreshing. More along the lines of a cider than a beer, but tasty nonetheless. Slight tartness in the finish.

Apple jax, cider aroma. Pours blonde with a thin white head. Apple cider flavor, with some spice! Actually very refreshing. This beer tastes more like a spiced cider!

I like apples so I had to try this, at the employee tavern in the Miller brewery of Milwaukee. A very fragrant brew I’ve enjoyed and you can pick up the apple and cinnamon aroma right away. It reminds me a little like an apple wine cooler than a cider, but very refreshing. I would prefer Apple Spice on tap than from a bottle. This brew is more like a summer/fall beverage than a Christmas holiday beer.

The appeal of this beer begins and ends with the very pleasant apple aroma. Beyond that, it’s sickly sweet and slightly syrupy. It’s okay occasionally, if what you want is an apple soda with a hint of beer flavor.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy golden yellow beverage with a smooth fizzy white head that was mostly diminishing and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was fairly intense apple with a hint of cinnamon underneath. The body was medium-light with soft carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor starts out sweet tasting like lightly spiced apples and this lasts through the medium length finish.

Aroma is a little disappointing. It features apples and cinnamon but things don’t quite gel. Flavor is very nice and unique. I have been hoping to get a chance to grab one of these and am glad I got one. The apple flavor is somewhat tart but the beer is mostly sweet. Not really a lot of beer flavor because the apples dominate. Still, it is a pleasant drinking beer.

Bottle. Pours an apple juice color without much head. Nose is a complete apple bomb with some light spice deep in the background. Flavor is concentrated baked apple, very sweet but initially very delicious. I thought this would be an excellent dessert beer in tandem with a buttery shortbread/cake. The sweetnesss became somewhat cloying and became a bit tedious as you finished the bottle. However, I thought this was really good, not a session brew, but wonderful in the right pairing. Thanks to wallybrau for the bottle.
