Commercial Description:
The leaves - at the height of their color, but before the inevitable fall. And the apples - ripe for the picking, and the absolute peak of their flavor. It's this moment that you'll find captured in our new Leinenkugel's Apple Spice. We take the fresh, delicious taste of real apples - as crisp as the first bite off the tree - and add just a touch of cinnamon for a hint of spice. The result is a mouthwatering blend that's perfect for sharing with friends. It's flavor to the core. We use over 2000 pounds of apples in every brew.

Hazed golden hue with a nice frothy head. The aroma has a very nice dominate apple character, Jolly Rancher like with some notes of cinnamon and nothing else. The taste is...ARRGH my palate just got violated! Like apple juice that got way too old, simply awful and cloy. Doughy tasting on the aftertaste with no character to speak of. Drain pour for sure. AVOID!

Yes, it is definitely apple in the aroma. Paler than apple cider, there is a heavy apple aftertaste, little malt or hop flavor showing up anywhere. Weak head and no lacing. Reminds me of an apple flavored tea more than anything else.

This one had a head and body to it that looked more like hard cider than beer, and had the overly cloying sweet apple and overdone cinnamon thing going. I really could barely detect malt, and definitely no hops to speak of. I can only drink one of these in a sitting. I prefer hard cider to this.

I should first say that I don’t typically like fruit added to my beer. With that said, it seems like this brew almost has an identity crisis. It’s not a cider, but it doesn’t taste like a traditional beer. I found the apple taste a bit too sour for me. This beverage just tasted "off" to me. However, if you like the Berry Weis beers and other beers with fruit flavor, you might like this.

(bonus brew from faststi)poured a cider looking body, aroma was very close to apple jolly ranchers.flavor was of apple, grape, wheat, and peaches.the finish was a bit dry. the palate was on the boarder of a cider and a fruit brew.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a large creamy white head that was lasting and produced fair lacing. Heavy apple and cinnamon aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Heavy sweet apple and cinnamon flavor with an average green apple finish. Good full flavored fruit brew.

12 oz bottle consumed at my friends’ house in Minneapolis. Thin lasting white head, bubbly god body....fresh, light sweet cider nose, cinnamon ginger and plum featured as well...soft juicy body, hints of tartness, not excessively sweet....just a touch metallic late, but not enough to seriously damage things...overall, not bad and one of the better offerings from this Wisconsin institution.
