Aroma is apple and cinnamon over some yeast. Flavor is very sweet... cinnamon apples, and yeast.. Not much malt makes it through. The apple and cinnamon flavor tastes artificial to me. Palate is medium bodied. Very odd and I came very close to pouring this one in the drain.. Not good.. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Yellow color with a thin white head. Strong apple cinnamon aroma that seems like it will be sweet. Oh yeah... very sweet taste. Blazing apple and spice, but not horribly out of balance. Some malt base. It reminded me of Quaker instant apple cinnamon oatmeal. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2005 A little taken aback by this one, certainly more aggressive flavor-wise than I would have expected from a Leiney’s product. Slightly hazy straw gold. Really intriguing nose, lots of very tart, sour green apple, light spicing, interesting. Flavor is, disappointingly, a little on the sweet side, some tartness is still there but it was definitely tamed down, loses a bit off what I expected. Spice has a nice balance to it, it’s not one of those horribly over-spiced holiday ales, just a decent balance. A bit bready and biscuity at the end. Rather nice. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2005 bottle-for some reason, i think this is a good beer. This is probably the best cider i have had so far (american that is). far better than hornsby or any of those big brand ciders. this beer pours bright pale yellow with a soapy white head and sparse lacing. aroma of green apples, cinnamon, ginger and that green jolly rancher thing going. big green apple flavors with a touch of cinammon and pale malt grain husks. body is fizzy but to be expected from this brewery and for a cider. apple finish coats the tounge like a jolly rancher once its gone. A chick beer that I like? go figure! jsquire (2098), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Pale golden out of the bottle with a fizzy white head that fizzed away quickly. All sides of the glass were covered in bubbles. Nose is very appley and a little spicey. The nose reminded me of the apple and spice instant oatmeal I used to eat as a kid. The first sip is shocking. Lots of honey sweetness, apple juice, green jolly ranchers and something spiced that doesn’t really taste like cinnamon. There is a little tart in the end, like green apples. Very lively on the tongue. This is a very odd beer, and not to my liking. KSS (102), Plymouth, Minnesota, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Let’s start with the best part of this beer, aroma. A nice mix of apple and other spices mostly cinnamon. OK, now that out of the way, I didn’t really like it much. It was like a failed mead.
