Commercial Description:
The leaves - at the height of their color, but before the inevitable fall. And the apples - ripe for the picking, and the absolute peak of their flavor. It's this moment that you'll find captured in our new Leinenkugel's Apple Spice. We take the fresh, delicious taste of real apples - as crisp as the first bite off the tree - and add just a touch of cinnamon for a hint of spice. The result is a mouthwatering blend that's perfect for sharing with friends. It's flavor to the core. We use over 2000 pounds of apples in every brew.

Pours clear golden with a nice sized white head that goes down gradually. Aroma is all cinnamon and red apple - more like a cider than a beer on the aroma. Initial taste is clean apple - it is okay, but not really beer-like. Finish is metallic and sour. I didn’t go into this with high expections, so I’m not too disappointed. This would probably be nice for someone used to a mass market cider, but as a beer there is much to be desired.

Smells like sour apple jolly ranchers. It delivers what it says it delivers. It tastes like applesauce with cinnamon but then has a horrible dry weird aftertaste. Definitely different but I would rather drink a Strongbow cider. I really think I would get sick off this stuff very quickly.

Bottle. Pours a light amber color with almost no head at all. Aroma of apples and spices like a cider. Plenty of carbonation. Has the flavor of spices, cider. Big apple taste. No bad and easy to drink but one was all I wanted.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is mulled apple cider---apples, apple skins, cinammon, and cloves. Flavor is like moderately spiced cider, with a bit of noticeable fermentation producing an odd sour note. If I had tasted this blind I would probably have placed it as cider rather than beer. It’s not terrible if you like cider, but somewhat artificial tasting, and the sour note gets annoying as it warms up.

Bottle. Candied apple and malt aroma. Pale yellow color with small head. Sweet cinnamon and apple malt flavor. Tastes like spiced cider so delivers what it claims.

Pours a clear golden color with a large sized billowing white head. Aroma is apple cider, cinnamon, a light alcohol note, and a very light malt note. Taste is quite sweet with the cinnamon and sugar coming to the front, apple pie, and some other spices. Palate is sweet and sugary. If they dumbed down on the sugar a bit it would be a halfway enjoyable beer. Way to sweet and the apples take a backseat. This brew seems like it needs to be reworked, and with a little tweeking it could be decent. Below average.

Let’s start with the best part of this beer, aroma. A nice mix of apple and other spices mostly cinnamon. OK, now that out of the way, I didn’t really like it much. It was like a failed mead.
