I can only imagine this this what skille-brau must taste like. Very sweet taste, much more of a wine cooler than a beer.

Leinenkugelís Berry Weiss smells of diluted blackberries and honey. It has golden pink color with a thick light pink head. It is light and crisp fruit and wheat beer. It tastes more like soda than beer because the berry taste is so much stronger than the wheat. This is definitely a summer brew. It isnít the first beer Iím going to reach for, but it will serve as a nice change of pace. And Iím sure it will pair well with summer salads as well as fruit and chocolate desserts.

I love drinking this at a baseball game. Its fruityness goes really well with salty peanuts, and it is easy to drink. It is very sweet so hard to drink too many, but it has some great hoppy notes that make it taste more like a craft beer than a hard cider.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle. Weird amberish color with one finger head. Not much of a beer, but the berry flavor is quite pleasant. Sweet and fruity.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle: Weird, off-shade of copper with a mild reddish hue to it... Almost pink but not quite. Foamy head grows large, but wisps away in moments. Aroma is sweet berry; raspberry, blackberry, generic "berry" vibe with an artificial sweetness, light chalkiness to the whole thing. Taste is the same way... Overload of artificial, fruit juice-like berry presence with an almost simple syrup sweetness & a touch of medicinal chalk in the finish. Drab wheat. Blah... Poor manís Soft Parade, but neither beers are good.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber body with a purplish hue under a small short lived fizzy head. The nose is huge jam-like berry sweetness with not much else. Thereís no hint at any sense of a wheat base beer. The flavor is pretty well on par with the aroma, itís all artificial fruit sweetness and nothing else. Light bodied and slightly clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Not exactly a winner, even among fruited wheat beers.

Taster on tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2014. From a plastic cup after the event while waiting at the coat check, thanks to Celia for sharing. Mostly clear red orange pink color. No head at this point. Surprisingly good aroma. Berry, cream, syrup. Moderate to bigger sweet, kind of candy syrupy. Light to medium body. Kind of sticky. Lighter carbonation. Decent macro fruit beer.
