COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Leinenkugel’s is pleased to bring back Leinenkugel’s Big Butt Doppelbock into its limited-release portfolio. The name "Big Butt" comes from the image of two goats butting heads that you see on the label. Bock means billy goat in German and Leinenkugel’s Big Butt Doppelbock’s name and label pokes fun at the goat’s springtime mating ritual. The result is a malty, rich, full-bodied bock beer brewed with two-and six-row pale and specialty malts and two specialty hops. Like all Leinie’s beers, Big Butt Doppelbock is handcrafted one batch at a time in our historic Chippewa Falls brewery.

Dark ruby red pour with an ok tan head. Aroma was sweet, some caramel . The taste was roasted malt, sweetness, ok. Nice taste, nothing special-expected more flavor as a dopplebock. OK lacing.

I had this a year or two ago, but have not seen it available since. Big Butt is a sweet, dark sip of deliciousness. I would definitely buy Big Butt again if I can find it.

Dark amber color with ruby highlights. Nice two-finger head of foam with good retention and decent lacing. Nice toasted malt nose. Slight hint of chocolate. Not much else to pick-up on. Coffee flavor with a slight hint of chocolate. Small amount of sweet toasty malt flavor. Roasted nuts. Minimal dark fruit notes. Like the flavor, the mouthfeel is abit weak and lifeless. As far as an easy-drinking beer, this one qualifies. As far as being a dopplebock, it falls short.

Dark, sweet beer that I honestly bought just because of the name "Big Butt"

Have had from 12oz bottle and on draft. Surprisingly sweet and clean finish; very good on draft.

Not an overall special beer but a decent beer overall. Poured from a 12oz bottle. Semi dark appearance and a light head that is fast to go away. Hops are presence. Mildly metallic. Still was drinkable with no problems.

12 oz. bottle from stash refrig. Poured to a festival glass fairly clear, brown hue with some ruby tones showing through the base. The head was a foamy tan but fast reducing to a light film, leaving some patchy lacing and a small foamy ring. The aroma was some caramelly malt, a little brown sugar sweetness and a hint of concord grape. The flavor was some toasty malt and a mellower version of the aroma notes, with soft carbonation and a little less than medium body. Not bad.
