Bottled. Cola colored beer with no head. Aroma is sticky caramel and raisins, flavor is quite prickly body with more raisin, caramel, thick malt, heavy finish

Bottle. Pours dark brown/black with tan head. Aroma is somewhat fruity and alcoholic, some dark roast. Flavor is bold, malty, spicy, some frioty esters, dark roasted grain with a sharp dark roasted bitter. Heavy mouthfeel with high carbonation. Overall, a bit confused.

14 nov 2012, tap. Black. Nose is cocoa, alcohol, burnt toast. Med body and moderately fizzy. Becomes a huge beer once you taste it! Lots of alcohol, bitter dark chocolate, faint raisins, toasted grain, bitter finish. Pretty good.

Out of bottle. Pours dark, little head. Smell: notes of apricot and fig. Interesting fruit smell. However, very little body. Slippery on tongue, and a lingering fruity aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours very thick and dark with almost no head. Huge toffee smell to the nose. Taste is more fruity than anything else, which is interesting. A little heavy, but not bad.

Sweet malt scents and taste with a bit of malt. Taste is way too sweet, it masks the other flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer pours a dark brown color with a white head. The aroma is full of alcohol and some dark fruit notes. I also get a little bit of brown sugar. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of raisin and prune notes, as well as some molasses and roasted malt. I also get the slightest hint of smoke. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Looks thick and awesome. Tastes heavy and malty with nutty notes. A good beer for a cold night.

Bottle. Aroma has big notes of caramel, toffee, cocoa, dark bread malts and porto. Great nose!!! Very dark brown that sits black in the glass. Large frothy off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lace. Flavor is very sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied and watery soft. Overall an amazing beer I can’t get enough of. I have know idea why the rating for this are so low. It drank good to me.

Bottle. Pours dark with no head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor matches that. Very nice, thick and full-bodied. Not my favorite Big Eddy, but a solid beer.
