COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Eddy Baltic Porter is a blanket of malt flavor. Notes of toffee, cocoa, caramel, toasted bread and sherry fruit flavors are interwoven to produce a symphony of splendor. Our Baltic Porter is an homage to the brewers of the Baltics and a tribute to our own historic brewing waters, the Big Eddy Spring.

Kinda like this label. Rated this much higher than most??? Nice aroma of cocoa and malt +? Nice dark pour. Med palate nice flavor similar to aroma with added complexity. Some alcohol dark fruit in there. Glad I got a 4 pack

Bottle from Woodmans in the Falls. Pours reddish brown with a bit of a off-tan head. No real lacing, although when worked hard, there is some. Aroma has licorice, molasses and faint chocolate. A sweeter aroma than that would seem. Taste is of milk chocolate, licorice, some caramel malt and some presence of raisins. Finishes moderately quickly; sweet and slightly sour. Not a ton going on here. More that they could not decide what they wanted to do. Drinkable, and not bad, but just not really good either.

Not a good malty aroma like I was expecting. No head. No carbonation. Flat gross beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark murky brown color with tall tan head. Dark fruit and brown sugar aroma. Taste - rich dark fruits, vanilla, roasted malts, dark chocolate, cherry cough syrup. Very rich and very little carbonation. It’s ok, but a tad cloying and I’m not a big fan of this.

Pours a cola colored brown with thin tan head, minimal lacing. Aroma is dominated by tawny port notes and less so by underlying chocolate and caramel. Flavor matches well, but just doesn’t sit well with me.

This pours a dark brown color with a slight light brown head. The aroma gives it that scent like it’s been aged in a sherry barrel with a mild fruitiness of plums. The texture is smooth and creamy. There are lots of complex roasted and smoky flavors. Finishes ever so crisp. Not too bad but there’s also room for improvement.

Pours a dark brown with small head. Aroma of raisin, plum, and sherry. Flavors include some toffee, caramel, fruit (aforementioned raisin), some chocolate and licorice. Nice, warming beer; a good winter choice.

Bottle. Dark copper with tan head. Strawberry, raspberry and caramel aromas. Berry fruits with a slightly sour finish.

Aroma has dried fruit and smoky top notes. Flavor is roasty and not too sweet. Rounded thick malts.

Dark pour, beige head. Thick. Rich and roasted chocolate, coffee, toffee flavor with notes of caramel and oak. Robust. Nice. A little thin. Tastes much less than 8.5%. I am pleasantly surprised by that.
