2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
2012 vintage, bottle. Pours a clear orange, flat head, lively bubbles. This IIPA is a hot mess. The aroma smells pungent as if it is skunked. The flavor is a wreck, very unbalanced with the malts and hops. Pine and citrus are somewhat detectable. In addition, the ABV is very noticeable, almost burns going down. Slight hop finish and smooth texture. I wanted to like this one, but itís just up to my standards for a DIPA.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ Old Chicago Foco. Clear, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, bitter, piney hoppy, light skunk, kind of unpleasant aroma. Thick, sweet, toasty malty, mild grapefruity, citrus fruity, piney, marijuana, piney, strong flavor. Iím not a fan.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A clear, deep amber pour with an off-white head. The aroma is packed full of citrus and floral hops. It has a medium body with an oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter as far as DIPAs go. There is some alcohol warmth but isnít overbearing.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice Imperial IPA, a little on the sweet side for me but interesting enough to hold my attention. I doní t think I would want more that one or two in a single sitting and the 9.0% ABV makes that a good idea too.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz courtesy of GhostFace. Cheers, Neal! Pours a clear copper orange with a white head. Nose is malt, grass, caramel, pine and mild citrus. Flavor is malt, grass, pine, and lingering citrus with notes of apricot lingering in the finish. Medium in body and interesting overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep orange with solid head and lacing. Big grapefruit/orange and sweet caramel malt aroma with some pine. Taste is much the same, though surprisingly less bitter than I was anticipating. 9% ABV is well-hidden. Would prefer this to be a little less sweet, more complex, and less heavy/syrupy in mouthfeel, but itís still pretty yummy. Hops and sweetness linger for quite a bit.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thin offwhite head with a damn good retention and lace that just wont stop. Clear amber/copper colored brew. Nose of caramel malts and faint pine, shame. Body is medium, oily with a soft carbonation. Lightly sweet malty flavors, caramel and a lil biscuity. Hops are not really present. Damn shame beins its an IIPA and all. Right. malty lil finish, fruity with a tame bitterness. The kegged version must of been UNBELIEVABLE! Cant imagine.Figuered it was too good to be true, Leiny,s and all. Props to TBS for the bottle. Strong pine and citrus aroma. Well done beer. Mimimal head. Appearance seems to be the worst aspect of this beer. Tasty and nice palate.
