Caramel, actually pretty watered down. Lasting bitterness. Not terribly good. Not balanced at all.

Sweet bright hoppy aromas with a dark gold/orange pour. Lightly sweet flavor distinctly delicate and creamy hoppy finish. One of the best IPA around and can be enjoyed with a meal or anytime youíre in the mood for a top notched full flavored beer.

Indra (2594) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - SEP 6, 2012
12oz. bottle, 9.0% abv. Aroma of sweet, caramel malt and citric, floral, spicy hops, with background notes of tropical fruit, honey, pine and green, leafy herb. Clear, deep orange in color with a very slight, fine, subsiding head. Flavor profile is comprised of sweet, lightly toasty, honeyish and caramel maltiness, fruity, lightly resinous and piney hops and a moderate dosage of bitterness towards the finish, also showing a very faint bubblegum tone late. Lightly resinous and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, body is pretty full. Drinkable, but sort of a run of the mill and rather malty example of the style.

Starts out looking quite grand, dark orange, cider-like, thick tan head. Fast receding it is with no lacing or retention. Alcohol, malt, barley wine nose. Similar body, sweet, apples, a bit light on the hops but decent.

Bottle. Coppery body, some head and aromas of boos that donít hit the mark. Medicinal and herbal with a little citrus or something. Flavor is a cloying mess with a cutting hop astringency that sucks my will to finish this beer. I guess itís not that bad, but this is a malt bomb in the DIPA category with a poorly conceived notion of hoppiness.

Pours dark amber color with a thin tan head. Aroma is cream and pine. Creamy and fruity beggining with a bitter finish. It is ok for an Ipa to me.
