3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very sharp and clean ruby amber with one finger of sandy tan head. Wonderful nose, like candied citrus and peaches. Citrusy and floral with some caramel malt notes. Flavor shows a lot of citrus rind and candy notes. Medium to full bodied with a moderate hop bite and piney finish. Some resin in the flavor.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Apricot colored pour, mostly a white head. Sticky malts and citrus hops blend together nicely in the nose. Flavor is sticky and a bit more malt that I would have liked/expected. Still a pretty good example of the style.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear dark orange pour, a little bit of head and a very musty sweet hops aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet oranges, medium piney hop bite and very clean and crisp on the aftertaste. Solid beer all around, and pretty well balanced for 9% ABV.

12oz bottle from Discount Liquor Mikwaukee, 2012 vintage. Pours a crystal clear, deep amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, some pine. Medium on the palate with light, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, balance, pine hops, with a light bitter finish. A good DIPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
It poured a copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of some citrus, a slight pine scent, caramel and grapefruit. The taste was similar with pine, some hoppiness as well. A very good Imperial IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bright orange/amber colored with little head. Very clear. Smells like mandarin oranges, lemon, and citra hops. Tastes tart and sweet and immediately bitter from aggressive hopping. Finishes with sweetness and a dry lingering bitterness hiding behind the noticeable alcohol burn. Flavors of orange, hosp, mint, coriander, and lemon peel. Very complex. Very boozy. Very good. I recommend all beers in the Big Eddy series.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle) Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium cream-colored head. Aroma is potent and punchy, with a big hit of lime juice and zest, kiwi-fruit, grapefruit and slight orange. Little bit of earthiness as well thatís backed by some caramel scents. Flavor is mostly the same as the aroma, with some pale malt sweetness and caramel-coated orange zest starting thing out before yielding to a refreshing zip of lime juice. The lime then yields to a bitter finish of light pine and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is a little too spritzy. Overall this is a decent enough go at a IIPA, but it certainly doesnít warrant the high price by any means.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Romans. Clear copper with a lacy beige crown. Aroma of pine, citrus, resinous hops, malt and some garlic. Taste of orange, citrus, caramel and is a touch too boozy. Bitterness is on the high end and itís a bit rough around the edges.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Deep orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma is resin, deep pine and grapefruit. Flavor is almost perfectly balanced between hop bitterness and malt. Caramely but bitter. Sweet but citrus. This beer is great.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Pours clear rosy amber with a big foamy light tan head. Huge sticky citrus nose, with some pine sap, onion, a touch of sharp booze, and a big bready malt body with a touch of sweetness. Taste is actually pretty smooth and drinkable, while still being bold and sticky. Big dank hops, with onion and garlic, big sweet bread, slick and sticky. Citrus rind and boozy warmth on the finish. Toffee peeking through, along with some pine. Big slick full body with nice carbonation. If macros can pump out beer like this, then...well...Iíll still buy the little guy. But this was still pretty impressive.
