3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at one of our tastings. Probably the best beer in the series from Leinenkugel. Aroma was citrus and pine and a little caramel. Nice orange color with decent head retention and a little lacing. Taste was nice and hoppy upfront with tangerine and some hay. Alcohol was apparent with a finish of caramel, malt, and felt dry. Hung around a while on the palate. Price point I think is tooooo high for 4 bottles $9.99-10.99. There are better beers in the style that are way less expensive. But this one is a good beer overall. would buy next vintage but price had got to improve.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated based on notes taken 1 Sep 2012 -- I was pretty surprised, this was a well crafted brew from Leinenkugel’s! Pretty good balance, not quite the West Coast hop bomb that are my favorites, but well done.

Flaska. Syrlig med torkad frukt något vinlik. Doften något svag. Mums i smaken. En smak med många lager med maltighet torkad frukt o smygande go beska. En lättdrucken dipa

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Mörkrostad färg. Mild doft av blött gräs. Viss sötma. Smaken är krämig medelfyllig med viss torrhet. Ja åh lite druva. Typisk Anerikanska Dipa smaker . Ingen West Coast med vanliga Grape Citron här inte..

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I really enjoyed this. Tons of malts and hops that are pretty evenly balanced. Looks beautiful and actually easy to drink the whole four pack. Great stuff.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2012 vintage, this pours a semi-cloudy, dark amber color with a slight head. The aroma is fairly sweet which might have happened with the aging. The taste starts fairly sweet and ends with a pine, bitter finish. Very easy drinking.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reviewed from notes.
I’m surprised I’ve never said anything on this until now, woops, my bad.
Anyways, poured into a snifter, the appearance was a glossy golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly died off and leaving barely any lacing.
The smell had a bright citrus aroma with a slight grapefruit edge. Lurking behind is a light presence of dried caramel malts.
The taste was semi-sweet but still carried the normal bitter edge widely accepted amongst most DIPA’s.
On the palate, a long sweet to spicy to bitter grapefruit-esque aftertaste led into a dry finish. This one when fresh is a sipper but as it ages like most DIPA’s, this one shows its gracefulness or lack there of and becomes fairly harsh in about three months time.
Overall, you know this can be a good DIPA if consumed fresh, but though stated 9%, in three months time, it really doesn’t last longer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
"Within its best by date but lacking in fresh hop aroma and flavor. Lots and lots of spice, biscuit and caramel. I’ve really liked the big eddy stout and scotch ale, but this is just bittersweet and under aerate for the style. 1 timer."

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From old notes, tasted with Curtis and some friends in Nashville, probably some time near the summer of 2012, from a 12oz bottle. Pours clear light orange with an average white head that leaves average lacing. The nose is pretty simple resin hops up front with a decent caramel malt backbone. The flavor is lightly sweet caramel malt up front, moving to the green resin hops on the back of the palate. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long bitter resin hops finish.
