Not a particularly good oktoberfest. Tastes of stale caramel, pumpkin spices, and metallic off flavors.

bottle. clear amber with a small white head. fruity, malty, estery aroma. more fruity than toasty. in typical leinenkugel fashion this beer has a good bit of residual sweetness. the malts are sweet with notes of toast, butter and caramel. fruity, berry-like hop flavors. full body with slightly sticky. sweet and tasty oktoberfest candy.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is malt forward with a astringent malt characteristic that I can only describe as grandmas bad hard candy. Appearance is an amber color with a off white head. Taste is not that impressive and it just seem unbalanced and has a big alcohol note. Palate is medium to low carbonation with the hard candy backing. Overall, I’m not feeling it. Cheers!

While I appreciate the attempt, and I was looking forward to trying a string Okto, this was just too heavy, warm, and oily. I will consume for the ABV/investment only. For science. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear bright copper orange pour with almost no head. Sweet, malty, toasty, caramel, grainy notes with a slight ’euro strong lager’ on the finish. Feels like a syrupy sweeter thicker version of the standard style. Meh. Didn’t really do a whole lot for me. But there’s nothing really wrong with it as far as I can tell.

Just a taste and glad it wasn’t more. Sweet, strangely spiced, under-attenuated. Not good. Weird Back end. Cloying. Pretty bad.

Smells like tea and bandaid malt and this is very fresh. Horrible. Taste is sweetish and unbalanced and awful. Really not enjoyable. Dumped it.

12oz bottle. Thick pour, dark orange brown color. Thick creamy foam. Aroma of sweet sugar malts, toasted notes. Thick, very heavy bodied. Tastes of malt syrup, with hops extract. Thick and syrupy texture. Finishes with a tannin bitterness. Very heavy. Could have definitely been thinned out to make a slightly bigger Leine Oktoberfest. It’s big, Eddy! (3834)

Clear Amber with a foamy yet fizzy head that fades after a few minutes; Good lacing Nose is citrus hops, caramel, roasted barley & malts, yeasts and some nutty notes. Flavor is floral hops, roasted barley, nuts, citrus, and yeasts. Body is moderate in weight yet thick at the same time; Carbonation is between mild and moderate. A bit boozy but surprisingly good.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a decently carbonated cherry wood-amber with a lingering cream colored head. The aroma is malt forward at first with a pungent earthy hop note blasting itself through. The body is medium. When they describe this as "bolder," they ain’t kidding. Unlike other Marzens, this one has an explosive hop and boozy presence with the malts in the background.
