Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear light copper with a slight off-white head. Aroma is sort of cooked oatmeal with mixed floral/fruit hop. Med + body or better. Flavor is sort of cooked cereal with some heat and moderate floral/fruit hop. It is smooth. It is slick. The flavors aren’t really strong, but they are firm, and it’s rather amazing. "Toastier"? Maybe that’s part of it. Don’t dismiss this ale!

Poured from bottle into small taster glass. Goldish amber color with thin white quickly dissipating head. Smells of lager yeast and sweet malts. Taste is very sweet, pretty simple. Medium body, kind of slick feel. Really not bad, higher abv is masked well. Very sweet.

2013 bottling aged a year in my beer refrigerator. Pours dark copper with a nice light amber head. Dissipates in about 10 minutes. Light lacing. Alcohol subdued vs fresh. Slightly sweet, no hop bitterness. Cellaring did wonders. Love it after one year

A decent beer for what has become a staple in how well you brew event...how good is your pumpkin beer? This one is middle of the road.

Pours a darker amber color with off-white head. Caramel malt and booze on the nose; follows onto the palate. Not the best oktoberfest style beer out there, but average.

Poured from a bottle producing a rather thin head. The nose is nothing to brag about. The taste is unusual, but again, not deserving bonus points - it might have a hint of bourbon barrel. It is very strong so it helped start a very relaxing evening.

Deeep orange color, almost red. Just a glimmer of head. Otherwise, looks like something you would kill for at 5:05pm in November. The aroma is serious, severe sugars. Hefty, pungent caramel. Dried leaves, brown sugar and nutmeg. The flavor is supremely sugary. Dried prunes, nutmeg, brown sugar. The nutty malts prevent it from becoming too saccharine. Has an aftertaste that is almost akin to a sour barleywine, or a slightly puckery quad. Unexpected for sure. The feel is very thick and chewy. I have to say, I am enjoying this out-of-season beer.
