12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, deep amber, nice head and a bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma: Malty, märzen like, some caramel and some citrus hops. Interesting take on a Märzen/Oktoberfest style beer, and actually not bad; if you are looking for typical this is not the beer for you, It has the standard qualities of a this type of beer, Malty, sweet, toffee/caramel notes but they are balanced with some hopes, giving it a nice bitterness and quite enjoyable taste. Fun to try, and quite interesting; kudos...

Big eddy, uber Octoberfest, leinenkugel, WI brewer, 8.5% alcohol. Excellent colour, contains ver fine precipitate, big head, dissapates slowly, nose is winter fruits and spices, a tad bitter, no sourness evident, caramel malt taste, very nice. 7 out of 10

bottle - This dark amber beer has a mild caramel malt aroma with a little alcohol. The flavor is sweet malt with toasted caramel, toffee, and maybe a touch of dark fruit. Dry hopped? I’m not noticing much hops. It’s alright but not as good as a couple of the other Big Eddy releases.

Bottle - Pours reddish-brown with a ring of white head. Nose is caramel, boozy astringency, and tons of malt. Lots of sweet bread malt in the taste, with cherry, graham cracker, and toffee. Slick and medium-bodied.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with a small white head. Aroma was malty sweet with caramel and some fruitiness. Flavor was mainly sweet with caramel, toffee, fruit, toast, sweet grains and some nuttiness.

Bottle: Dark amber & copper body, nice clarity with a fine-bubbled, creamy eggshell cap that lasts for a nice amount of time. Aroma is VERY mild. Touch of sweet caramel malts, light toast, perhaps a hint of prune. Kind of hard to pull much from it. Flavor is jam-packed, though. Very robust malty sweetness. Caramel, toffee candies, coated in a light brown sugar rub, A touch of toast, plum, fruity esters, & hints of red licorice. Maybe even almost too sweet, but still very flavorful. A light earthy tone in the finish, but still lingers with mostly Caramalt sweetness. Sticky, heavy body. Decent, though I prefer "lighter" Oktoberfests, I think.

Wasn’t sure what to expect with this beer. It caught my eye because of the "uber". Not the best Oktoberfest but an interesting idea for a beer. It’s worth trying.

pours an orange amber with a ample white head. smells very sweet but not the toasty sweet you get in most american versions of the Marzen style. Flavor is boozy and super sweet and has a tartness to it as well that i wouldnt have expected. I dont think they did a very good job on this.

Bottle@ neighbors trailer. Bright rusty amber color with fleeting foam. Toasted caramel, lagered malt, spicy aromas. Medium bodied. Big malty, lightly sweet caramel, spicy, lagered flavors with some toast, dark bread---not bad.

This dark orange ale is thick and sweet leaning. Smells and tastes of caramel and bread and toffee, with a little more raisiny sweetness than usually in the style. Pretty enjoyable malt bomb.

Certainly not an Oktoberfest. This is more of a Scotch Ale. Caramel sweet aroma. The flavor is sticky sweet with caramel and sugar. Some alcohol peeks thru also. Sticky mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
