2012. Strong aroma. It does remind me of a very good whiskey, but it’s not whiskey; alcohol noted, of course. A little syrupy yet very easy to drink. Sweet, but not overly sweet. A companion to a rich, small dessert. A sipper and something to share. The type of beer to pass the time and note what comes through as time ticks on. It has a nice complexity and yet it’s not overboard although it’s very strong.

On tap at Uber. Pours deep red with two finger head. Smell is strong malt. Taste sweet malty with a roasty finish. Pretty average scottish.

Very true to the style. Malt and earth on the nose with a bit of caramel and some smoked peat. The flavor followed, heavy on the malt with just a bit of hops to balance. The smoke is there as well. Very nice after taste that lingers.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Nose/taste of molasses, brown sugar, sweet malt, dark caramel and burnt malt. Finishes burnt caramel and tarred molasses. Lighter bodied for a wee heavy.

Good. The nose is daek fruit with complex sweet malts and a touch of spice. Deep brown with a small off white cap. Very sweet with touches of umami like worstcheshire sauce. Full and smooth with a slightly cloying sweet finish.

Brown with fleks of read. This white head. Huge malty boozy aroma. Prune, dark fruit lingering taste on the tongue. No alcohol burn, which surprised me given the aroma. Very good Wee Heavy.

12 oz gift bottle from my neighbor Bob - Thanks! Not a true wee heavy and on the lighter side of the gravity weigh ins. Plenty of alcohol to fuel the passions but lacking something that other Scotch ales seem to have.

More wee than heavy. Wee carbonation. Wee body. Essentially, high octane root beer, but not as rich in flavor. This might be good REALLY REALLY cold if you drink them fast, and if you drink four of them.

Brown in color with a small beige head. Aroma is of toffee, peat smoke, earth, malt. Taste is of leather, molasses, peat, caramel. Very nice.

Bottle. The look Is garnet red in color, clear, and has a small tan head. The smell is smoke, malt, deep, caramel, and campfire. The taste is sweet, caramel, smoke, malt, and thick.
