3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Pour is hazy toffee with a frothy cream head and great lacing. Caramel, dark fruits, toffee, biscuit, light raisins, figs, and vanilla in the aroma. Taste is nutty, caramel, light coffee, somewhat earthy, doughy, toffee, and fruity with a sweet finish. Creamy mouthfeel with medium-to-soft carbonation. Super smooth, malty, sweet, and easy drinking, balanced with a nice hop bite. Not bad.

Not much experience with wee heavies, but wanted to try this one. Very sweet, almost like wine or cola. I suppose it might be an acquired taste. Gonna be brewing my own scotch ale soon, so I’ll see how it compares.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Belmont bottle about 2 months old or so. Really pretty tasty. I thought there was more sweet, caramel notes compared to smokey peat. Agree with other folks that it is a touch light but it kept it from getting sticky sweet. Pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is not watered down at all... but has a strong bacon flavor. Its obvious they are focused on the smoke, and thats not that great a thing.. Thin head low aroma, Its more a smoked porter than a wee heavy.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: dark sugars, lots of toasty and caramel malts, biscuit, a touch of alcohol. Pours a dark amber, off-white head. Very nice malt character - robust and rich. Lots of bread, toast, caramel, some dark fruit, toffee and caramel. Fairly full body, low carbonation, nice and smooth. Nice brew.

Bottled 2012, Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Pour a dark hazy brown. Smells of caramel and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is a bit heavier than your typical ale. The flavor is amazing- Complex malts and a hint if toffee. Clean and strong finish

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
When I first started tasting beers, I used to wonder; what is a wee heavey and what is a wee lite? Well, if its a big eddy, its gonnah be onstyle and this is a wee heavy, a wee heavy on my palate fer sure. Viscous, syruppy to an extent, looking dark brew from a bottle goes into my glass. Has that big giant strong lager smelloing thing in the room, sweet and sickening syrup olfactory mind you. This big brew surprizingly is frienly for a 9 plusser. Yes a tad cloying but it is surprizingly better than I though tit would be. Maybe it was those three dukes I had before this, wew. Yes, a big beer worth two other beers in alky impact, two fer one. Quite cloying as I move to the middle of the session. Strong, with a tad of that cough medicine thing happenning, yeah. If you are looking for style, big eddie shows you and this is terribly on style, not when it starts out but as the bottle gets near the bottom, it is getting heavy, heavy on the back of the throat that is. Cannot give this much for palate effects, its quite flat. I guess thats how the style goes, no? In my steeler glass, dermontti dawson is getting kicked in the ass by mikey webster. Same with finsh, hehehheh.
