Is so hearty and headstrong you can stick a pencil in it! So take a moment to savor that deep caramel color, the distinctive, creamy taste. Availability: January - March

Ah. the picture reminds me of there old commercials, The beer so thick a pencil will stand in it. Amber color with a thick head of light tan bubbles. Aroma of caramel, toast and pale malt. Well bodied. Mostly malt flavors with a touch of biting hops to keep it honest.

Very nice bock as they go, a little hard to find West of the ’Big Muddy’, but well worth the hunt. Strong and robust, hop and malts well balanced and noticeable, fairly high ABV.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2006 Starts off okay, has good nose and maltiness, but the finish just left something to be desired in order for me to rate this highly. One of the best Leinie beers made, though.

Very drinkable and smooth bock. Amber colored which is not typical of the style.

VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 5, 2001
Starts off pretty good with a nice roasty maltiness that gives way to a sweet almost caramel candy taste. Thins out and finishes very unflattering. Not bad, just not that good. Wonder what it was like before Miller tapped into them?

A rather silky Bock, well balanced and hearty, though not as robust as some.
