COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In 1906, the Kolsch-style beer originated from the Cologne region of Germany as a crisp and light beer to combat the summer heat. Leinenkugel’s® Canoe Paddler™ is our take on the Kolsch-style beer that we tweaked with a touch of rye. Our spring and summer seasonal has subtle malt flavors, a clean finish and adventurous quality.

Meh, it's a mild beer. Touch of rye which adds nothing yet distracts. I'd rather have something else in the future. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle. Pretty good beer but vanishes a little too quickly from the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Darkish gold, filtered, small, white, short lived head. Pretty generic amber lager taste and aroma. Didn’t taste very much rye. Better than most macro lagers, but not that interesting.

This beer is nothing more than Miller Light sold under a different label (I’m almost convinced). If I wanted to drink Miller Light, I would buy Miller Light. This is just overpriced Miller Light. The beer is profoundly anemic and has a horrible off-note that reminds me of mildew. It is NOT a Kölsch! It is crap, don’t ever buy under any circumstances, even just to rate on this website.

Bottle from Publix Supermarket, Kissimmee, Florida. A very pale golden beer with a sweet light toffee flavour, vanilla notes and a creamy caramel finish.

This beer reminds me of a rolling rock without the "skunky" flavor. Pretty decent lawnmower-pale ale combo! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours yellow with no head. Aroma is pure yeast. Taste is fairly crisp with light malt and more yeast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour from a can. Light golden in color. Refreshing - not much to this. "A touch of rye" might be litteral. I can’t really taste any hops of the three specialty hops added. Meh.

12oz. bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear golden color with a fizzy white head that leaves light lacing. Smells of sweet malt, biscuit, and rye. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with good carbonation. Pretty average for an easy drinking summer beer. The use of rye malts are nice but doesn?t help it much.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized creamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy with faint notes of hot peppers and citrus. The flavor was water with a hint of hot pepper, citrus and a bit of yeastiness. Short yeasty citrus and hot pepper finish. Light to medium body. Unimpressive.
