Another fine product from Leinenkugel! I was very sad when I ran out of this. I need to pick up some more soon. Great brew!

12 oz bottle. I’m not quite sure why people are hating on this brew. I like it. It’s light on the start and the finish and honestly I thinks its perfect to drink on while working in the heat of the summer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pilsnery sweet graininess with a mellow lemony citrus note. very low esters.
Crystal clear straw color with a quickly dissapating white head.
Soft malt character balanced by a smooth bitterness (from a generous use of saaz hops?). Not getting much of the rye spiciness or the fruity esters typical from a kolsh.
Light-bodied, well balanced. Low carbonation.
Overall a smooth, drinkable beer. Tastes more like an American light lager than a German kolsh. The malt character holds up nicely and carries this beer.

3.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Not a bad beer by any means, despite the reviews. I’ve not drank many kolsch style beers however I do think this is a tasty beer and enjoy the slight rye taste.

My first Kolsch style beer. No head on this beer, but has a decent mouth feel. It has hints of sour apple/pear. A drinkable, middle-of-the-road beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled - pour clear, pale, yellow. The head dissipates quickly. Good taste all the way to the bottom. No after taste

Good old Leinies. They know how to put out a good brew. I really liked this stuff. Clean, crisp taste. Would hit the spot on a hot summer day.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a clear yellow colored body, decent amount of carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace, quickly dieing one finger white foamy head, moderate amount of lightly clingy foamy lacing.
The smell was malty, some light rye.
The taste was sweet through the previously mentioned flavors, dry sweet aftertaste, dry finish.
The palate was light; sessionable; though adequately carbonated for the style, its still slightly felt.
Overall, this is decent for the style, and decent to me. Though there are tastier Kolsches out there, this isn’t bad for a cheaper option that is pretty light, I’d probably grab another when in a pinch.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle which is stamped: May2012-E20011421. The pour is pale yellow with a goodly amount of fizzy white carbonated head that lingers. The aroma is typical of a Kolsch with a good dose of barley and rye grains and a hop crispness. The body is light to medium. The taste is low bitterness that ends very clean. It deserves a decent rating because it represents the style well.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle pours a light straw yellow crystal clear. Minimal Whitehead that disappears quickly. Not much aroma to speak of kind of sort of a melon aroma. Light bodied with a twinge of apricot flavor very low bitterness very easy drinking lawnmower beer.
