Bottle: Dark mahogany color with ruby highlights, small tan head and light lacing. The nose is roasty with light dry husk and dark caramel, mild molasses and thin coffee. The flavor is dry, lightly roasty with a thin and neutral finish. No hops, no sweetness, a tiny bit of dry roast and anise. Just a dark lager with a thin body.

When I was a younger lad, Creamy Dark was considered a ’dank’ beer among my friends. Now that I’m older, I’m re-trying it for the first time in a decade and realize it is not the best. It is drinkable, but it smells awful and has a thin, unappealing flavor and palate.

Pint on tap at MKE. Dark brown opaque appearance, large head as expected. Aroma is sweet like a root beer but with some malts, chocolate, and roastiness. Flavor is swet and spicy, not bitter at all. Palate is smooth with a full body. Good option for a local brew in Wisconsin.

Pours dark. Aroma very hoppy with a little nutiness. Taste of molasses and nuts. Creamy mouthfeel.

Pours a deep reddish chocolate crowned by a big foamy beige head. Aroma is mostly hops with a hint of nutiness. Creamy on the palate with a taste of molasses, malt and nuts. Finishes on a nice crisp note. Very enjoyable beer and a good value for the price. Enjoy with any red meat dish, especially Yankee Pot Roast or spare ribs.

Bottled. Not a bad beer from this company. Dark pour beige head. Sweet malt aroma and hints of dark fruit. Sweet taste with a mild hop presence. Medium bodied. Not bad.

I know I rated this before but somehow my rating was DELETED!!! Good thing I back up my ratings. Pretty ruby appearance. Little smell of skunk in the aroma but also has dark elements to it. Bland taste that has a creamy mouthfeel. Not the best.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. A very crisp dark beer with a good flavor and sharp finish.
