Creamy Dark is aged slowly for a deep, dark color; velvety flavor; and a smooth finish.

Consumed as Miller’s Ale House Captain Jack Dark on an outing with PorterPounder. Very dark, to the point of being opaque - hard to call this a vienna, was guessing dunkler bock. Sweetish, pretty good balance, a little raisin/fruit tone. Medium to slightly heavy body. Maybe a little sugary in the finish. Notes of molasses. Honestly, this is a sloppy rating. Will need to take better notes sometime -- anyway, it wasn’t too bad.

Very rich and creamy. Great color, aroma, and flavor, especially from a bottle. Although the dark, rich flavor was satisfying, the aftertaste was a bit chalky and sometimes made the beer taste waterier.

Bottle. Nose is very roasty and bitter, almost to the point of being like burnt coffee. Taste also has that burnt flavor to it, and it makes it seem more like a porter than an amber. Whatever. It’s drinkable, but not terribly pleasant.

Dark amber body with a thick white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is a caramel, roast toffee. Taste is smooth, hoppy & clean. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark black/brown with thin off white head. Taste is slight roast, little cocoa, caramel sweetness, slight spice, hint of vanilla, nutty. Actually a lot going on here. Smooth medium full finish. Actually pretty nice.

Favorite fall and winter beer. Surprisingly lighter taste then the color would lead you to believe - nice surprise. !

It’s definitely watery, not creamy, but it a pretty good and cheap dark malty beer, I think my favorite from Leinenkugel’s.

Looks a lot more flavorful than it actually is. Pretty weak flavor really especially considering how dark this beer is; I’m surprised they got it this dark with such little flavor haha. Watery malts with some very subtle notes of chocolate. Bland.

Aroma is a sweet lactose mildly roasted malts. Taste is earthy chocolate, but a little artificial in the taste and no hops to speak of. Palate is thin and disappointing for something billed as creamy.
