Creamy Dark is aged slowly for a deep, dark color; velvety flavor; and a smooth finish.

Good Dark beer, taste is suprising for a dark. With itís color I expected a much heartier taste. Overall this is a good beer, maybe something to start a new comer to dark beers.

Good dark for beginners. Remember, itís a lager, not a stout -- just because itís dark, donít expect the heavy, thick taste that many assume all dark beers have. Good colour, flavour strong but less than some darks, fine aftertaste. I havenít yet found Leinenkugelís Doppelbock, but this will do from them until then.

A major let down from Leinenkugelís. Stay away from this and their Berry Weiss.

One of the best tasting dark lagers available. Actually has flavor to match the name unlike Heineís or Beckís. Creamy mocha flavoring in a smooth drinking beer.

pours dark brown but not opague. has a small beige head that disipates. flavor is smooth a bit watery even for a dunkel. still for the money this is a pretty good beer

UPDATED: APR 29, 2003 An excellent dunkel. One of my favorites and it's inexpensive (not cheap). The head is thick and tan. It leaves a little lace all the way to the bottom of the glass despite the fact that the head fades a bit fast. Really tasty with just a hint of coffee contrasted by a pleasant bitterness from the hops. Even after all the hundreds of beers that I've tried, I still find myself coming back to simple pleasure of Leiny's Creamy Dark.

A quality find. The Leinieís Dark is a real winner if youíre into dunkels like I am. Hearty and the best thing Iíve had since Calumet.
