3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle poured into a mug. Pours a slightly transparent dark black/brown with a thin beige head. No lace. The aroma is sweet with fresh-baked cookies, bread, toffee, sweet malts. A moderately crisp body deepens the the feel of this lager, but there’s a slickness to it on the finish that weakens it for me. The sweetness carries over as this beer is like fresh warm bread with sugar on top. Light chocolate malt notes round out, and there’s just a kiss of alcohol on the finish. This is an easy drinker, though a bit middle-of-the-road, that I would like to have on hand time and again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
After initial pour and the creamy head dissipates has a dark cola appearance. Aroma is roasted malts and taste is the same. A nice beer, not complex but a nice dark lager. Will drink again.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 21, 2014 DRAFT at the Chalet in beautiful rural Southern Wisconsin....a not quite black color with a thick head that may be more the lack of draft talent in our bar maid. Sweet / caramel in the initial taste...smooth through-out....very nice for a Friday night fish fry....will be back.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark brown almost black color with tan head. Roasted malts on the nose, pretty much it; follows onto the palate. Very creamy texture on the palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cousin bought this for a cookout this past weekend. Dark color, like a very dark cola. Aroma is lightly roasted malt notes. Flavor wasn’t really creamy, but was a pretty decent light roast - reminds me of a better version of Michelob Dark. Could drink this again.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brown color, foamy tan head. Pretty mellow all around. Faint aroma and taste. Light sweet finish. Not as heavy on flavor as other craft beers but good overall.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, pours dark brown with a tan head, starts sweet with malt and caramel, finishes bitter, did not really notice a creamy taste but still this is a decent beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle purchased at Kroger. Dark chestnut brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cream and some caramel. Malty and roasty flavor with chocolate, caramel and cream before a bitter, roasty finish. Pretty solid for a Leiny beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle. Dark brown with one finger head. Malty, yet surprisingly thin. There’s a fair amount of malt, but it seems very watered down and un-flavorful.
