May 3, 2004 Along with Leinie’s Big Butt, the Guinness of the midwest. Very close to Guinness in flavor and appearance. A good fill in for Guinness when you can’t spend 10 bucks on a 6.

does not count May 23, 2008 I love this beer. It’s much like the thick German beers. Thick, dark beer is the way beer should be. Not the watery excuses for beer typically brewed here. One should be able to taste their beer.

Aug 17, 2006 I was impressed with this beer. A creamy, dark lager is something I’m not sure if I’ve had before. I’m a fan of Scotch and Brown ales. The tastes and feels similar. Sweet with hints of chocolate(?) lactose(?) Heavy, yeastey body of a lager. Highly acidic.
