Draft - Black with small off white head. Flavor was roasted malt. Just creamy enough to justify the name. This was a decent beer, not something I was expecting to like, but tried it because it was on tap locally. Overall very mild taste which lends to its unexpectedly high level of drinkability. Its not something that will wow you, but worthy of a taste.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is creamy with a hint of chocolate. A little thin on the palate.

Pours a deep dark brown. Aroma is sweet, and good roasty malt. Flavor tastes a bit coppery, but otheriwse nice and toasty. A hint of chocolately flavor, but otherwise, a solid dark lager.

tastes a little thin - pours dark brown/chocolate color - flavors of richly roasted malt. I really wanted to like this beer but it is just average

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep brown with a hint of golden highlights. There is a frothy off white/cream colored head that falls to a nicely lacing ring. The aroma is heavy on the dark malts. That is about all i get out of the nose on this beer. Flavor is full of nicely roasted malts with a hint of coffee. Very smooth and finishes really clean. This might be my favorite of their year round beers.

Draft at the Leines Lodge in Chippewa Falls, WI. 7oz Glass. Very dark brown that it is almost black with an off white head. Smooth dard roasted notes in aroma. Great tasting brew. Nice lacing on the glass when finished.
