2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 dmschefke (560) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - APR 26, 2012Pours an almost pitch blacks with thick tan head, minimal lacing. Aroma of roasted (almost burnt) malt, mild coffee, and not a lot else. Flavor matches and is really thin. I really wanted to like this, but I could have mistaken this for Guiness.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ericular (256) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Aroma is a sweet lactose mildly roasted malts. Taste is earthy chocolate, but a little artificial in the taste and no hops to speak of. Palate is thin and disappointing for something billed as creamy.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Drake (6594) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - MAY 10, 2013
12 ounce bottle from House of 1000 Brews, New Kensington. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nutty notes with earthy and caramel notes. The taste is fudge (no kidding), earthy notes, apples, caramel, nuts. Medium bodied. Not bad, but very strange.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 airrick2003 (182) - Louisiana, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Appearance: clear very dark ruby color, thick tan head that fades relatively quickly, leaves some lacing
Aroma: caramel, coffee, chocolate,
Taste: chocolate, deep dark roasted malt, coffee, hint of plum
Palate: not much c02 burn, leaves a bit of bitter aftertaste,
Overall: not a very strong coffee/chocolate taste but it is the predominate flavor by far, ok beer probably wouldn't get it again though

Other people rated this low but I found it to be a great session beer. Velvety with a small roasted malt character.
