1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 biggmike (480) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - JAN 31, 2009This beer poured a brown copper color with decent head that dissipated pretty quickly. The appearance was probably the best characteristic. The aroma had a fake maple syrup mixed with vanilla extract smell to it. I was hoping it would taste better than it smelled. Unfortunately, it tasted EXACTLY like it smelled. This tasted like a brown ale that somebody poured copious amounts of Aunt Jemima maple syrup into with a small dose of vanilla. This was a sticky-sweet mess. I drank the whole thing to give it a chance, but it got worse and worse. I gave one to my brother and he echoed my sentiments. Now, what do I do with the last 4. I feel generous giving it a 1.3
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 burg326 (2327) - Florida, USA - APR 23, 2013
12 ounce bottle poured an amber brown color with aromas of light roasted malt, some light caramel, and some nuts. Flavors are the same, light malt followed by some light nuts in the aftertaste.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ed5388 (522) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - MAR 24, 2013
On tap at The Cove NJ. Pours a deep reddish brown color with a decent sized head. Aroma of strong caramel malts and toffee, with a touch of chocolate. Taste of caramel upfront with a slight bitterness in the finish. Chocolate malt, toffee, caramel, and roasted nuts come through as it warms.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ret12 (377) - Maryland, USA - MAR 16, 2013
I thought that this beer was pretty tasty. Nice hazelnut flavor with a tiny hop bitterness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lemke10 (540) - Janesville, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a clear medium amber color with a slight fluffy head. Scent is malty with some hints of hazelnut. Has a bold roasted nut flavor that really hints the taste buds. Overall is very smooth and has a very decent volume to it. Probably one of the more flavorful Leinenkugel’s beers available but compared to other nut brown ale beers, this one is slightly better than average.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 rayy (30) - Ohio, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Pretty average. Light brown to copper, sweetish, with a slight hazelnut (I think) or maybe maple extract taste. No noticeable hops or spice. Quaffable, but not worth seeking out.

Amber brown in appearance with strong nutty taste and a dark crystal malt. Smooth aftertaste and light in carbonation.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 dlbeer (384) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle. Light brown pour with minimal head. Roasty aroma. Tastes very nutty and sweet. Good carbonation. Overall a decent winter beer. To bad the discontinued it.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 chicowv (446) - Canaan Valley, West Virginia, USA - SEP 5, 2012
12 oz bottle: Pours a dark chestnut brown with a decent white head. No CO2 release or lacing. Aroma is bad, smells like a sour American lager. Taste is pretty bad too. Not much flavor for a nut brown, weak, thin, bland. Poor offering overall.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Huhzubendah (1980) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle from drabmuh in an effort to help me review all 104 styles. Thanks Matt!
A: The beer is clear and light copper hued, with 1/4" of head.
S: The aroma is primarily of sweet malt, lager, subtle fruits.
T: The beer has some good flavors happening, but they are all very muted and mild. Subtle fruit and nut flavors are pleasant but could be brought out more.
M: Thin in body and perhaps a bit low in carbonation.
D: An OK offering. I had no problem finishing a pint, but likely would not go back for another.
