Muzzlehatch’s succinct comment (’No honey. No wheat.’) says it all.

It doesn’t really taste like honey, but it is sweet and tastes decent.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2005 Light bodied and easy drinking. Not much for flavors to pick on, but does have a little sweetness to it.

Mine was served with a lemon, but I dispensed with that without squeezing it in. Woody aroma, like an empty wine cask. Lightish color, with little head. Overcarbonated, leaving a tingly, fizzy feel on the tongue. And, to boot, a plain flavor, like many a lager (but a good one, not an American standard). The honey influence is less pronounced here than other ’honey’ beers I’ve had. (on tap, Cafe Odessey, Mall of America, MN)

Excellent and tasty, the ladies like it too because it’s sweeter than most similar beers. Try it mixed with Berry Weiss. I like it with the lemon, some people do not.

Very light bodied, sweet tasting. A hint of bitterness.

Clear straw color. Very little head. Dry aroma of light honey with grassy undertones. Very dry in flavor and finish. Much the same dryness as a chablis-mead. Lacks malt backbone. Quite carbonated, almost biting on the tongue. A beer of the mother-in-law.

If there’s honey in here, I never found it. However, I really enjoyed this beer. Nice and light, with a smooth flavor. It is kind of watery and a little more carbonated than I remember most other Leininkugel’s being. Not great, but very easy to drink.
