msonnenberg (28), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 14, 2006 Updated: Sep 17, 2006 A cheap wheat beer aroma that tapers off with a mild sweetness. The high carbonation is a poor substitute for flavor and palate that are lacking. My sinuses tend to act up after I drink this beer, a good indication that it is adulterated. There is little more to say.
Imaena (221), Portland, Maine, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bottle 08’. Thin watery sweet and sickly gross corn syrup flavor. That being said its not a terribel summer beer for the non intese craft inclined. If you like wheat beers or sweetened brews than this might be up your alley. Not mine though. BrotherGrendel (47), San Diego, California, USA Aug 18, 2008 On draft in Milwaukee. Appearance is a clear light golden hue, minimal white head and lacing. Smell is light wheat and yeast, touch of honey, peppermint, sweet candy. Taste is light malts and wheat with very subdued highlights of honey, light earthy hops, finishes sweet. Light/medium-bodied, thin and watery texture, moderate carbonation. An unoffensive light wheat ale with a touch of sweetness, subdued flavors but easy-drinking. kosko20 (73), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Aug 16, 2008 What in the world...Take Bud Light and make it look like apple juice or dark urine. Only reason why its not a 1 for appearance is that its crystal clear which was cool. Aroma was...nothing really, wheat and some citrus. Flavor was junk, not sweet or honey or citrus, just a little bit of yeast. Palate was also piss poor, but at least it didn’t make me quiver. porterhouse (916), Alna, Maine, USA Aug 13, 2008 (Bottle from Kappy’s) Lawnmower-land...Pours hazy yellow with two fingers of puffy white head. Aroma of honey, yeast, some flowers, wheat malt, lilies and maybe a bit of citrus. Mouthfeel is rather thin, some wheaty smoothness but also a bit prickly/pebbly. A little dryish. Some weepy, broken lacing. Flavor is lightly honeyish, a bit yeasty with a decent wheaty malt backbone. Ultimately though the overall feel and flavor becomes not too different from a pale lager. A hint of soapiness carries into aftertaste. Decent enough summer refresher. raymow (735), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 12, 2008 Drinkable and refreshing but not nearly as good as the Sunset Wheat. Pale yellow (piss) in color and not much in the way of sweetness/honey flavor. Just ok.
