At Epplyana Well, an ale that they made taste like a lager and the hopped a lot. Hmm. . . not all that bad but not super. Serving Bottle

Pours gold with a two finger head. Would be a good summer drinker but overall it’s not for me

(12oz bottle, courtesy of Errl) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, grain, grass, and orange. Flavor of toasted grain, grass, lemon, and earthiness.

The color is a clear yellow with a large white head that fades rapidly, and the aroma blends corn’ pale malts, and citrus hops. The taste is slightly sour and slightly bitter, and the palate fuses a soft carbonation, medium-light body, slick texture, and an abrupt finish.

Pours a nice 1.5 inch head. Clear amber color, looks like a sparkling cider. I detect no malt presence, with a crisp hop finish. Cannot isolate hops. As a matter of fact, tastes just like a Heineken, which is a lager.

Great tasting Helles, I love the Centennial - Citra combo! Nice crisp flavor and after taste, dry enough to want another drink

The date on the bottle says "May 26, 2014." I poured this into a pilsener as the brewer believes this to be a Munich Helles Lager. I’m unsure why it is labeled an APA on here. No worries, here goes. The appearance was a nice crisp clear golden color with rapid carbonation filling a two finger white foamy head that dissipates at a nice pace. There’s a fair amount of bubbles within the head and the lacing clings softly in a slight spider web sort of way. The smell tries to have some slight bitter yet crisp spicy hops but for the most part they’re pretty subdued and end up letting a fair amount of earthy malts invade the aroma. The taste is actually quite balanced between crisp spicy hops to the earthy malts. There isn’t any aftertaste but there is a quick dry finish. On the palate, it sits pretty light and does show a nice sessionable aspect about it. The carbonation seems good for a Munich Helles Lager. Overall, not a bad beer, but this is no where close to an American Pale Ale. Also, as a Munich Helles Lager, it also seems a bit under sweetened. Is this a cross between the two? Perhaps and still worthy of having during Summer sessions whatever this beer tries to be.

12oz bottle. A nice golden color with a one finger head. Not much aroma coming from it. Slightly hoppy aroma I guess. Taste is slightly hoppy and watered down. Ends bitter. Not a huge fan.

Great aroma although I'm getting over a cold so I can't get specific. Anyway, the taste is a nice hoppy bite and it gets a nice bitter flavor that increases for the initial second on the palate and then calms to a nice smooth palate. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
