2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden with a white head. Skunky aroma, a bit grainy, with light floral and grassy notes. Sweetish flavor, a bit grainy, with skunky hops, slightly floral, and a drier finish with a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Nowhere on the bottle or the case is there any indication that this beer is anything but a Helles and not an APA as stated in the description on this site. Certainly the colour is right, a nice golden colour. Aroma is, grass, hay, cereal, skunky. Taste is somewhat hoppy and reminiscent of American hops, not German. As a Helles, it is pretty bad.
As an APA, I suppose it rates a bit better, maybe 2.2, and certainly better than Lake of Bays Crosswind Ale, but then in my opinion, that beer is undrinkable, so not much praise there.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear golden into the glass, with a nice frothy head that leaves thick ring lacing. The nose is of cereal and light grains, faint banana and just a peek at floral notes. Flavors are hints of citrus, lots of melon, some banana, grains and cereal, light yeasty esters, and a muddy contingency of a hopped finish. Nothing in the "hoppin’" seems to stand out, other than a murky pepper toward the back-palate in the finish. Maybe this is meant for "transition" beer enthusiasts, and to its credit, there needs to be "that" brew that helps others’ palates along the way. However, for a more sophisticated palate, this just doesn’t do the trick. The light body and semi-watery mouthfeel just don’t provide much substance past the cereal and melon notes, albeit the lightly peppered post-finish that is supposed to show the hops at work. It just doesn’t come together like a top-tier offering would. Again, for a "transitional" palate, it does the trick just fine, and helps growing enthusiast palates. For that reason alone, it’s definitely respected. (Hey, somebody has to do it....)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Floral and fruity aroma pairs well with this pale straw colored helles. This beer does very well combining the crisp soft on the palate taste of a helles with a slightly floral and citrus hop taste. Very refreshing and overall balanced beer that is worth getting again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a bottle to a shaker. Clear light golden with no head to speak of... Mild pine and citrus aroma and flavor. Not much going on here... Move along...

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Tasted 01/31014. I personally did not like this beer. It poured nice and the aroma was pleasant. But the flavor was, to me, very bland and unexciting. I would not get it again.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2014 330 ml bottle in Pompano Beach, FLA. Pours a amber orange with a light white head. Aroma is pine and citrus. Taste is pine citrus and spices. Palate is smooth. Not much of a Helles in there at all other than the name. But a fine APA I think it is.
