COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our newest year round beer. A true German Helles brewed with five American hops. Crisp and refreshing Helles beer meets pleasant citrus hop character from Citra, Simcoe, Cluster, Centennial, and Chinook hops.

Pours a clear golden with aromas of grass and bread. Has some sweetness with a little hoppiness. Refreshing, every day beer.

Bottle. deep amber orange colored body with a light white head. Nose is toast and almonds. A touch of hay. This tastes of nutty almonds with the shells. There is a hay like background with notes of apple core in the finish. This is actually pretty decent with just enough bite to make it interesting.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of citrus hops and cereal malts. Medium gold hue with an average foamy white head that mostly diminished and left some lace. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is light bodied and watery with average carbonation. Overall a very drinkable brew that was refreshing. Decent.

Nice crisp citrus taste. Seems like its a brew that I could enjoy year around.. but you wouldn’t be catching me having a half case of these

Decent lager, crackery dry malts, floral and herbal hops, a little citrus to boot. Overall crisp and nice to drink. Pale golden, lightly cloudy, foamy head. Mostly balanced.

12 ounce bottle, 12/4/13. Pours a clear golden color with a thin fizzy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of doughy malts and grassy hops. The taste is pale bready malts, mild grassy hops. Thin bodied, high carbonation, boring.

I’ve heard such good things about this beer, but alas I feel let down. Too much lager skunk/funk going on for my liking. Still very crisp and clean with moderate hop profile. Better than a normal lager, but not that good.

Got to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Decent aroma. The malt has a smooth bread taste that isn’t too sweet and isn’t too heavy. The hops create a nice fruit balance. The Citra and Centennial hops really shine by imparting a citrus taste that is even and refreshing. I’d happily have one of these, again.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2014 Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a nucleated pint glass. Crystal-clear golden colour with deep sudsy white foam, long-lasting with lace. Definite American hops aromas right away: grapefruit, pine sap, black currants, Hoppier than a classic Helles lager, bigger and more complex by far than I expected from a Miller subsidiary. Nice grainy, candy-sweet pils malt base underneath, hints of black pepper and vanilla, ever so slight DMS which is true-to-style. Light body, smooth carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, lingering bittersweet aftertaste which eventually finishes with a dry hoppy snap. Crisp and refreshing, but with unexpected layers. Wow, this is surprisingly tasty beer, go Leinies!

A pint at Rebos. Very good a drinkable beer. Has a hint of hoppiness but is very smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
