Aroma is light hops, grassy. Taste is also light hops, crisp. Enjoyable but not great. Worth it at a sale price, not at a premium price. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well, it is not a true German Helles with these American hops, but what they hell do I care? It smells highly grassy (even skunky) and I am totally happy with that. This is a hoppy beer, bought at room temp at a BP gas station in Yellow Springs, OH and then refridgerated. I like the hoppiness. Totally drinkable. Subtle. Excellent conditioning, color is wonderful. The bready malt flavor with a little sweetness is all there. Doesn’t fall apart when warm so WHAT THE HELL ELSE DO YOU WANT? Ok, bye folks. This is a long time in coming but I’m out of Ratebeer entirely. Quitting alcohol for at least a year. I quit for 14 years, I restarted for 14 years, and I’m taking a break.

Very pale citrine/light gold color, tall white head, clear. Light body, lean like lagers are, highly carbonated, avg length, bitter finish. Bitter, off-dry but malty, hoppy. Typical helles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A decent beer with citrus notes and some hops, very understated hop flavor regardless of the label. Amazing lacing and a light gold color but a little too filling ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light, crisp, mildly hoppy. A light beer with some hops upfront and a malty/yeasty finish.

Bottle. The nose on this is really quite boring... I get just a little bit of stale lager smell in there, but nothing else. Taste actually has some subtle bits of hops in there, as I get just a hint of some floral notes. Not really all that tasty. Meh.

A killer mash up of American hops and traditional German malts and technique. Clean and crisp, Hoppin Helles showcases its hop profile while allowing the underlying classic German malt to carry it forward. Pretty golden with ample lacing sliding off its frothy head. A great everyday quarter that is not content to sit idly by while the classics of the style take center spotlight.

Bottle. Golden pour with white head. Smells of malts and hops with a slight funkiness. Tastes of the same. Not bad ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It has that great German hop nose I love, though I don’t know what the actual notes are. Comes off like a German PIls, though a bit light, a bit of caramel in the palate. Decent.
