12 oz. bottle- Pours very hazy grapefruit pinkish orange with a head that reduces almost immediately to a collar. Aroma is lemony, some berries, almost like lemon pledge instead of real lemons. Taste is the same, there is a medicinal flavor that is a little offputting. Body is medium, carbonation is slightly high. Overall this was decent, but not as good as I was hoping for.

Pink amber color. Medium body and head. Blackberries and lemon in both the aroma and taste. Finishes with a modest beer taste and bitterness.

This poured a cloudy darker yellow color with a white head. Aaroma was lemon and raspberries, much like bluedini koolaid. Flavor was the same, bluedini koolaid with some beer in the end.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky salmon-ochre color with a very large pink-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and tangy lemon, berry, citric acid and artificial sugar. The flavor was tart and tangy artificial sugar, strong lemon, vague berry and turned dry and astringent on the finish. Light body. Interesting.

In early fall 2012; Leinenkugelís introduced its newest beer, Lemon Berry Shandy. It is rumored that this was crudely made over the years at Summerfest by combining their Summer Shandy and Berry Weiss. It became fairly popular and even was made in the bars before finally being a beer of its own. Letís see how it fairs when it comes down to rating. It pours a murky pink color like grapefruit juice with a light pink head. There is a mild scent of lemons and blackberries in the mix as well as wheat. Overall there is a sweet aroma indicating a sweet flavor. This is fairly inviting. The taste of Berry Weiss is very evident here with lots of blackberry juice flavor. There is an after taste of lemon that is a little off-putting. The taste is obviously fruity and kind of awkward throughout. It finishes kind of tangy and sour leaving an unpleasant taste in your mouth. Two decently made beers combined sounds like a good idea, but the execution of the plan falls short. This is a great summer beer when you are thirsty after mowing the yard. But as a rate-able fruit beer, there are a lot better beers on the market. Better than average overall, but not by much.

Purchased as part of the 2013 Leinenkugel Winter Variety 12 pack - Alright, this purplish hued brew smells berryesque, with the flavor adding a citrus bite to the berry/malty base taste. Itís okay.

Confession time: Leineyís regular Summer Shandy has kind of become one of my go-to summer beers, despite whatever low rating Iíve given it here. So I was actually a little bit excited to see this. And itís really not bad, but the "berry" flavors donít add much. The problem, I suppose, is that it seems a bit artificial, like Boo-Berry cereal. Not a deal breaker, but it doesnít really enhance the beer. I will buy this again in the future, but probably as a throw-in in a build your own sixer.

From a raffle won six pack. Ok, kook aid and beer. Kind of tasty. My Wolfe would probably like it. Can appreciate it is pretty well done.

A little too sweet for me but the tart citrus helps. Fruit flavors are natural, not syrupy. Tastes like a dessert.

12 oz. Bottle/ Craft Pack. Nice hazy rose color. Very drinkable yet too sweet an Aftertaste. Still something of quality with the wheat notes.
