12oz bottle. Aroma of pale and bread malts with light hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. Bland.
2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 313hooligan (10) - - JAN 24, 2012
I was buying this beer after October for $5.99 a six pack from a great local establishment. (Discount drinks Wyandotte,Mi wonderful bottle shop!) For the price it couldn’t be beat and I bought @ 4 cases, So I drank it from the bottle, in a mug, in a pint glass, on a train, in a plane, I drank it here I drank it there....................... Anyways, it pours nice, light amber, thin head with nice lacing. Had a great Octoberfest flavor, but a bit on the week side in the hops department, but it was better than anything from the mass market (for the price) Sam Adams Oktoberfest is better, but it wasn’t $5.99 for a 12 pack.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 queenholly (230) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Bottle. Citrus and light caramel malt aroma. Amber with a small off white head. Citrus and malt flavor. Light carbonated body. Was surprisingly nice. I haven’t had many marzens I’d be willing to drink again
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 otakuden (1490) - Vero Beach, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Appearance: clear amber with garnet and deep copper highlights. A voluminous bready head fades patchy and bubbly. Sticks to glass with lace and clumps. Swirls thick and chunky.
Nose: apple crisps and apple chips with cinnamon sticks mixed in. Thin crunchy caramelized sweetness. Apple seeds. Moist sweet breads infused with moist cooked apple chunks.
Palate: medium-light weight and mouthfeel. Dryer than the nose implied. Crunchy apple skins coated in crunchy caramel. Dry finish of melba crust and apple seeds. Fall leaves, whole wheat toast, and apple peel in the middle.
Final Thoughts: simple but alright. A solid Oktoberfest, albeit a bit too dry for my taste. If offered I would drink it again, and that isn’t always true of Leinenkugel.

This was a terrible beer. Absolutely nothing good about it. I couldn’t even finish the bottle. Terrible stuff.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 shonobiwan (57) - Sound Beach, New York, USA - JAN 11, 2012
Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle pours a clear amber color with slightly off white head and some lacing. Aroma is of slightly roasted malt and hint of autumn spice. Taste is initially malty with some sort of bready/toffee flavor. Bitterness lingers too long for a märzen, also carbonation was too much. Not impressed, was expecting more.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 5000 (3998) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Vibrant amber, a bit fiery, clear, lively carbonation, large pillowy sandy head, so-so lacing.
Pale malt aroma, very faint biscuit.   Smidgen of cardboard too, unfortunately.   Malty on the tongue, a
little mealy.   Fortunately not the cardboard I got in the nose.   Light biscuitiness.   Body and
mouthfeel are moderate.   Faint sweetness, could use a bit more tho.   Pretty average and forgetable, but its
better than I was expecting.

Bottle. Very mild overall... lots of malt flavor but still very light. Finish has some astringency. Not one I’d go back to.
