COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

Arômes de céréales et de cassonade. Un peu d?amertume avec une pointe de sucre. Texture légèrement veloutée. Maltée, céréalière, faiblement caramelisée.

Bottle from my neighbor Jim. An American styled Marzen that falls short of par. Less smooth and overly carbonated with uncharacteristic bitterness.

Thanks to Greg, who has spent time in Germany, and says this is pretty close to what you might get there. Pretty dry for the style, with a little molasses flavor, and some sweetness in the aroma. Nice, and underrated imo.

12 oz bottle. BBE Dec/2014. (Bavarian Bottle Shop) Helen, GA.
Clear copper colour with a small off-white head. Mild sweet malty aroma with some mild hoppy notes. The flavour is malt, some mild hops and sugary sweetness. Drinkable.

Palate is surprisingly good; everything else is below average. It's not a rule that every brewery has to make an Oktoberfest. Hard style to pull off, I dislike many more of them than I like.

Poured from a 12oz bottle. This beer is barely an Oktoberfest. It’s all there, but in very small doses.

Ok smell and look, nothing to make it great can tell it is made for the masses before tasting it even, like the feel but lacks the flavor

Rated from notes taken 2 Sep 2011 -- Drank at a tasting of Oktoberfest beers. The other Oktoberfests were way better than this one. Not a good showing from Leine’s.

Draft: Pours orange with a light tan head....that’s about all there is to say about this beer. It’s boring...it’s bland... it’s not an Oktoberfest.
