2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Slick (1971) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - OCT 19, 2003
Light amber color, small head that faded fast.Malty sweet aroma with a hint of corn, with a hint of caramel or toffee. The taste is sweet and malty, maybe a slight hint of caramel and faint hops little else. The after taste is sweet and malty with an even fainter hint of hops. This is a watery thin brew that is easy to drink but offers little in the area of flavor.Worth trying but little else beyond that.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 igneous1 (1467) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - OCT 15, 2003
clear, light amber color, nice head with some lacing...aroma is yeasty and smells like the solution that goes on hair when someone is getting a permanent with just a hint of roastiness. flavor is bready, thin, with a little roastiness.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thehoff (569) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 6, 2003
Has a red tint but has the same brown color as the lager. Smells like malt. A lot of carbonation. Not that much flavor for an Oktoberfest beer. A little bitterness but not much. Not a bad beer but I was hoping for a little more flavor.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jedsbrew (465) - Rhineland, Missouri, USA - OCT 1, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2003 Orange/amber color with a minimal head but fairly good lacing and a toasty malt and spicy cookie aroma. It was light to medium bodied and seemed less sweet than most of the other Oktoberfests I've tried, with a fresh and delicious malty and breadlike flavor, almost dryish in the finish. Pretty good Ofest.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 WabashMan (970) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - SEP 28, 2003
Nice color, but not much head to this one. Nose is lightly malty, but not much else to it, really. Flavor doesn't really have much character either. A below average oktoberfest, in my opinion.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Syd (920) - Waconia, Minnesota, USA - SEP 17, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2004 I had this this weekend out of the bottle. I really was expecting more from this brewer for a Marzen, but did not get much of it. Overall, it is average in aroma, appearance, flavor, and palate. I will not buy it again.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Falconseye8 (542) - Evans, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2003
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2004 Just as good as Capital Fest. Marzens must just be my cup of tea. I don't know what years you other guys have had for Oktoberfest. 2003 is great. I'm going to stockpile this. I really really like it. Downgrading this one just a little bit. Fest however is still the best.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 GrainBeltGuzzler (249) - Goodhue, Minnesota, USA - JAN 13, 2003
lousy octoberfest, too weak in thin to be dark and terrible taste for an american
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jskendzel (602) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 4, 2003
Some malt but not nearly enough. Too watery and not full-bodied enough. I’ve had a lot better.

Not bad, but there are certainly better Oktoberfests beers out their. Consider Pete’s instead.
