2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Beautiful amber color and active head on the pour. Aroma was weak, though it carried hints of macro-brew. Flavor is very much corn/macro--too sweet and yet too weak at the same time. No body to speak of. It’s not offensive or anything; it’s barely there at all. Too bad this beer couldn’t live up to its appearance.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light on the flavor and a bit watery, which seems to be consistent among the majority of Leinenkiugel's regular selections.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
DATE TASTED: November 25, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Weihenstephaner pilsner... OCCASION: Thanksgiving executed well and without issue... APPEARANCE: the typical dark orange body with limited effervescence but mostly clear...head diminishes quickly to a foamy eighth-inch off-white ring; lacing is sporadic webbings... AROMA: faint caramel to start; malts are understated; little traces of hops--too simple?.... PALATE: light, slick, soft body that finishes with some fizziness but a blunt, short aftertaste...definitely a drinkable, sessionable beer suited for a warm Thanksgiving such as this... TASTE: burnt toast mixes with caramel to forward a malty experience, though the taste itself is subdued and retreating...little in the way of hops, as suggested by the aroma--sweet without a hint of bitterness...OVERALL: not much to distinguish this from, say, most other fests during the season...not an insult, but notable nonetheless for not being notable... does pair with salty hor d’oeurves and is unobtrusive in its presence...

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the bottle the color is Auburn with orange and very clear the head is white and dissipates to a very thin head after a minute, the aroma is malty a little sweet and caramel, the taste a little more crisp then I would like there are notes of caramel and malts but is not very prevalent throughout the drink, the mouthfeel is thin to medium with a finish that is watery caramel.

pours clear copper with a smallish off white head. Aroma is caramel malt. taste is light malt. Very mild bittersweet finish. Not a top flight oktoberfest, but easy drinking and unoffensive.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear light gold with a white head.
Sweet caramel aroma.
Sweet, but caramel sweet instead of malty sweet. No hops.
Thin, poor representative of an O’fest most ways you judge it.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Leinkugel’s take on the Oktoberfest is inoffensive and a real bore. Things are average in the looks and mouthfeel departments. Flavor is light a light lager with some added caramel. Smell is pretty much the same. Not bad but easily forgotten.

A true classic of the style. Great for this time of year and would drink at other times of year.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2015 Poured from a bottle. Sudsy short-lived head but some decent lacing. Medium amber color, very season-appropriate. Caramel notes on the nose but understated, plus a tiny bit skunky. Great tasting though, refreshing fall drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This rake is brought to me by the Stay Brodge Suites in Peoria, Il. Enjoyed outside on a glorious mid autumn night. Sampled out of the can. Minimal nose, taste begins sweet with sloppy grains, toast, light caramel. Light grass and bitterness briefly appears mid sip and vanishes as quickly as it began. Medium body

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a bronze or maybe copper color. Pretty good beige head. Pretty decent lacing. It’s pretty typical for a marzen.
Aroma is bready, toffee sweetness. Roasted malts, and a little more hops than most marzens.
Taste is okay. It pretty much follows the nose. Bready, roasted malts. Maybe a little more bitterness than most marzens. The appearance of the beer doesn’t look carbonated, but it tastes too carbonated. Oh, maybe it was made with seltzer water. It has a very weird finish..
Mouthfeel is light and mostly clean except for that durn aftertaste. Maybe if it were a little more watery it might help.
Overall, what’s going on here. Most Leinnenkugel’s are great, this is weird. I’m not a fan. I don’t really like it. I’ll give it credit for being different, doesn’t mean I like it. There are many other Oktooberfest offerings, i’ve tried several, this is the worst. Even Shiner is better. I’d suggest somethhing else.
