COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

On tap at Silo in Lake Bluff. Medium body, Amber color. Good head and lace. Decent beer, liked it better than most.

Poor attempt at an octoberfest. Super malty, not much flavor. Very bitter aftertaste. Smells super malty. Pours orange in color with a thick tan head. Had a draft pour at Buffalo Wild Wings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Medium clear amber from can to can glass. Light head. Beery aroma upon opening then a typical Oktoberfest aroma of malt mineral and nutty caramel.Gets nutty toast and vegetably after a while with cabbage/corn/fartspray/ DMS/dogfood- off or odd smelling. Taste wants to be octoberfesty then falls flat and a bit watery/beery in a light lager kind of way. Not too disappointed enjoyed it when it was cooler but gets off tasting as it warms. Cold out of the can this would be good for session drinkers who like light beer but like a change in the season. I might even enjoy this a little more than the average Oktoberfest.

12 oz bottle. Orange caramel color with no head to speak of. Lots of visible carbonation. Aroma is mostly boozy with a little malt. Orange rind, caramel, light malts. Very light for a Marzen.

Very easy porter to drink. Lovely vanilla aftertaste that lessen the normally bitter porter finish.

Bottle. A: Caramel color bordering on red. Thin creme head. Not much lacing. N: Biscuit, weird cheese off flavor, some hops. T: Weird combo of sweet, bitter, and funky? M: Prickly carb, creamy light body. O: Uhh...not close. A dartboard beer. In that they didn’t actually follow a classic recipe. Don’t bother.

Rated from notes taken 2 Sep 2011 -- Drank at a tasting of Oktoberfest beers. The other Oktoberfests were way better than this one. Not a good showing from Leine’s.

12 oz bottle. BBE Dec/2014. (Bavarian Bottle Shop) Helen, GA.
Clear copper colour with a small off-white head. Mild sweet malty aroma with some mild hoppy notes. The flavour is malt, some mild hops and sugary sweetness. Drinkable.

Thanks to Greg, who has spent time in Germany, and says this is pretty close to what you might get there. Pretty dry for the style, with a little molasses flavor, and some sweetness in the aroma. Nice, and underrated imo.

Palate is surprisingly good; everything else is below average. It's not a rule that every brewery has to make an Oktoberfest. Hard style to pull off, I dislike many more of them than I like.
