Clear light copper body, with medium white head. Caramel and slightly hoppy aroma. Body is lightly caramel, turns mildly German bitter in the aftertaste. Not much to this one, pretty easy drinking.

Bottle… Crystal clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head… gone in a flash. Toffee and caramel aroma with a note of singed sugar. Medium to full-bodied with an almost chewy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Well-balanced. Nice, malty caramelized flavors. Crisp, lightly sweet finish.

Wow this is just not right. Bizarre and stank aroma leads to a taste that is overly malty and funky. Just not riight. skip it if you can.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ughsmash (6672) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 20, 2005
Draft. Clear reddish-orange pour with a sizable well-retained head. Aroma was primarily sweet malts, with only a hint of hops... but not a whole lot really going on. Flavor struck all the wrong chords with me, however.. it picked up a nasty berry-like sweetness similar to their Berry Weiss (which is awful), which clashed with the little bit of hops on the finish. The only highlight was the little bit of caramel malt that found its way to the tongue. Really proved hard to swallow.
