Was a favorite while living in WI! If i had to choose a micro swill this is it. I can only get it now when my father in law brings it from WI.

Rating it for its style it’s a very drinkable, decent beer. No foul tastes like some Pale Lagers. If you like the style, try it.

Can (Original Chippewa’s Pride can). Corn and barely malt aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Really not a bad beer - as good as PBR.

Average lager. Drinkable on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn. Nothing special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brings back a lot of memories of childhood vacations to Wisconsin and seeing all the signage around the state and seeing Dad knock back a few. Always a must have when back up north. A traditional American lager. Easy drinking, but nothing spectacular. Nice beer to drink while watching a Packers game. More about the nostalgia than anything else.

"a decent attempt at a cheap, quaffable lager. definitely nothing special, but not offensive either. poured a fizzy golden in color, medium-thin bodied. passable flavor and aroma, on the malty side."

Tap at Minnesota State Fair, Leinie’s Booth. Small aroma. some light sweetish malt. Dark straw color. Gentle sweet malt, honeyish, very little bittering, mild finish. Thin body. Clean and crisp. A small step up from the macro stuff. I can see how this might be a Midwest college favorite.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grain is the main note on the nose; follows onto the palate. On the finish a simple hop resin note appears. Very drinkable lager.

12oz can. Pours yellow. It’s not as sweet as some of the other macro-crap lagers but otherwise not much different, but seems to have a regional fanbase for whatever reason.

For the style this is a good beer. Has some flavor, great on a hot day, great for camping or fishing. If you're in Wisconsin you can get it for $12 a case. No idea why anyone in that state would drink any other pale lager at that price. (Well maybe Point Lager) Not a great beer but if u need cheap or want a pale lager can't do much better ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
